"I listened yesterday. It's no reflection on you but I could'nt see where you were going or what you were going for. This early seventies thing did'nt get noticed the first time and you talk about friends of like Dealney and Bonnie who had records out like we're supposed to remember who they are. Then you play this long winded free jazz stuff that really grates on my nerves. And that noise without a beat and sounds like someones being pinched. Then you play a reggae song, I think you called it Dub, to what, be cool? You seem to really fetishize the whole folk thing too which is obnoxious to us who don't even care. I liked it when you played that punk song though. I like Joe Belock a lot."

  Wed. 11/10/10 7:16am pp:

  Wed. 11/10/10 7:31am postmanpaul:

Also missed the fine and happy mess you had gotten into us into, JA, but am not giving up hope and am looking forward of more to it!
  Wed. 11/10/10 7:44am Looms:

Sounds like your whish is coming true, PMP.
  Wed. 11/10/10 7:46am postmanpaul:

No complaints, Looms....yet.
  Wed. 11/10/10 7:47am Looms:

:)
  Wed. 11/10/10 8:05am Robert:

We can tell you haven't had the coffee yet. If you thought about it, you'd realize those who aren't getting WFMU via Web at this hour are listening to Nachum Siegel's program.
  Wed. 11/10/10 8:06am JA:

no i think you are wrong
  Wed. 11/10/10 8:06am Robert:

And I think that anyone who tuned in to this would realize Nachum Siegel wouldn't be playing it!
  Wed. 11/10/10 8:07am JA:

we have a thinker here
  Wed. 11/10/10 8:10am Robert:

Get the hook.
  Wed. 11/10/10 8:11am Kevin:

holy christ
  Wed. 11/10/10 8:15am Looms:

This is entertainment!
  Wed. 11/10/10 8:19am Kent Downing:

This guy (Neil Hamburger) is somehow hypnotizing.
  Wed. 11/10/10 8:20am Robert:

Please never play that torture track again. Unless it's to extort donations in March for turning it off.
  Wed. 11/10/10 8:25am Robert:

I mean I got it, but he's the kind of joke that works only by taking down the audience with it. Andy Kaufman could pull it off without that side effect. Come to think of it, so could that skinny blond guy whose name I can't remember now.
  Wed. 11/10/10 8:27am JA:

interesting cultural criticism you've got happening here. do you have a blog?
  Wed. 11/10/10 8:28am Robert:

Jerry Lewis could probably pull it off too, although I'm not sure.

Blog? Do you mean blague?
  Wed. 11/10/10 8:30am Robert:

Someone else who could pull off the act of bad comedian at war with the audience: Elvis Presley in disguise.
  Wed. 11/10/10 8:33am postmanpaul:

Really and truly, only Grinderman could have fitted that slot so appropriately, JA; their Heathen Child vid is one to be reckoned with, in my opinion.
  Wed. 11/10/10 8:36am postmanpaul:

@Robert - How about G Bush.
  Wed. 11/10/10 8:42am postmanpaul:

Apols, mais cette es une tres blague mauvais, je regret.
  Wed. 11/10/10 8:44am Robert:

Maybe Jr.
  Wed. 11/10/10 8:53am Cheri Pi:

Weirdo Records, I think I love you.
