i tried some of the indian food at the hot bar at whole foods yesterday. sag paneer with a samosa and naan. aside from the samosa i'd say it was a bit of a letdown.

I'm in Hell's Kitchen and depend on delivery...I used to get 45min. to go out...now I have to keep answering phones while I eat. Up here I usually go to Bombay Express or Basera which do the job.

5 Star Punjabi in LIC as mentioned earlier is very good as a strange treat. I once saw a 10" long rat crawl around the the back area behind the long counter. We finished our meal and joked about it all night. Food is not bad at all, but you gotta accept the quirks...
