I wasn't going to say anything, but my last tape deck is going fast. It is playing so s l o w. When I go in to the station to air the cassette, I have to juke the speed notch waaaay up there to compensate. A little worse each week. Need a miracle. Need Mr. Slaughter. but he is nowhere to be found. The Guru of the Dual-Cassette Deck. Sending out an SOS.

That's it for another episode of The Dusty Show. I do kind of wish I'd done a Halloween Show. I have so many great Halloween records, etc. I know I burn out the politics a lot. I guess I could resist the Mid Terms scenario, and I do think the whole thing is gravely important, whether it is or not. Please vote! I wasn't going to go live at all this week -- thought it might be good to "give it a rest" for a while. I've been so manic and wild behing the mic. I'm back on the caffeine like a raging addict. Must rectify ... soon. Also, Ken was filming with me this week. Some project he has going. It was fun to have him along in Union Square Park for thses interviews. Fabio and I have talked about going out to do recorded interviews together. That would be fun. And what about Julie? ABSENT during the live portion of this episode. One demerit. Actually, she was out of town. We missed her. No one calls if Julie is gone. What else? Hmmm. I like my new record fair LPs. It was such a stone blast to hang out there. The Richard Harris "Slides" LP is beyond all conception. The Wayne Newton live set is (genuinely) brilliant. I mean it. And I love the underground stuff I happened upon, too. Railcars and Tempera. Two exciting recording enterprises. Make sure to use the links I provided to contact these musicians and tell them that you heard them on TDS! If you have a moment, drop me an email. Tell me what city you are writing from. What country. It's always great to hear from the Dusty Listening Family. The DLF. Need to get that D-SAM up and operative again. Well ... better run. It's 4:31am and I have to get up soon. Love you all! Thanks for your continued support and inspiration. Always remember ... Clay Pigeon Manhattan - USA
