  9:01am ?:

  9:01am Dan B From Upstate:

Vinyl Fetish photos! Yay! (Also vinyl records yay.) Good morning Ken and all!
  9:03am Ken:

Morning all Vinyl Fetishists!
  9:04am Dale from North Dakota:

Morning Ken!
  9:05am steve:

I have to thank you for the Singles Going Steady week because its forcing a few 'hits' on to the air and to see what WFMU dj's consider worthy selections in this category is great stuff.
  9:06am Skirkie:

Off to a good start I'd say, in the photo aspect.
  9:07am Ken:

I agree Steve! It's really refreshing to hear so many SONGS on FMU, isnt it?
  9:10am Parq:

One thing I'm really enjoying is noting the difference among dj's whose shows sound pretty much the same as always, those who are prompted by the concept to do almost completely different stuff, and those whose shows are different in fairly subtle ways.
  9:10am Dale from North Dakota:

I'm just waiting to see what Fabio does with his show. Hopefully, play a lot of Clay's Seventies schmaltz hits, lol
  9:11am clyde stubblefied:

Good morning Ken- did you play the "Tea Bag" sample last week?? - could not find in if so can you play it again - i really need to sample it for a gig on Friday nite
thanks
  9:14am Ken:

Sorry Clyde, that's on a CD, in the New Bin - I wont have time to diog through and find it.. you are on YOUR OWN!
  9:16am steve:

Frank O'Toole managed to find a Beefheart 7"
  9:22am John from Oslo:

Quitreme Mucho by Albert Hammond, that's what all the earplugs are heading for...
  9:24am John from Oslo:

sorry, quiereme mucho
  9:24am Ken:

It's nice that you have something to play, not just the usual nihilism.
  9:25am Mike Fun:

Play the eeffing song!
  9:25am Sam:

Sorry I wrote that comment from "Ken", I typed in the wrong name
  9:26am Trey:

Dry cleaning promotional!
  9:26am jaw:

Can you mash up the Carey and Johnston?
  9:26am jmd:

Ooh, when the flag speaks does it have Jack Webb's voice? Can't wait!
  9:27am Elizabeth:

Ken's show is proof that there is a god. My god anyway.
  9:28am jen v.:

honestly can't wait for mariah to be played.
  9:29am Cecile:

Ken, I'm sending you the link for a great mashup with an equally great image to put on your website. For next week.

I'd love to hear the 45 of the Original Sins' "Sugar Sugar". That's such an evil cover.
  9:35am steve:

there's a skip in this track
  9:37am dc pat:

ken, riding on the edge today...
  9:37am Cecile:

Ken, there is an amazing photo spread of Zach Galifinakis in a red maillot swimsuit at Vanity Fair. But you wore it better
  9:37am tdrs:

col. williams collected undies?
  9:38am Cecile:

Do you have God's Gift's "Discipline'? na na na na Discipline. na na na na
  9:40am dc pat:

Minor Threat, yeah. DC in the haus.
  9:43am postmanpaul:

An accommodating centre hole and a good 7"s thinly vinyled sexual innuendo will do very nicely, thank you.
  9:43am D:

Listening to Ken's program is a minor threat to my wholesome reputation.
  9:44am Laura L:

Daniel Johnston's singing on this number bears some resemblance to Arto Lindsay's voice! Great show, Ken.
  9:46am Dan B From Upstate:

Clarence Carter, Clarence Carter... Oooh shit! Clarence Carter!
  9:47am Jan:

Ken, you are the only DJ ever who PLayed Apache by JorgEn Ingram if I have the name right. It was a 45- can you play it today, please. We are in a car now in NJ going to Philadelphia - there by 11:00. Thanks
  9:48am John from Oslo:

Sassyfied ;)
  9:50am Cecile:

clasp
  9:50am Lizardner Dave:

Uh, is this a web-only show?
  9:51am Sister Mary Elephan:

  9:52am dc pat:

  9:52am Cecile:

  9:54am dc pat:

Bad Ron, again!
  9:55am Bad Ronald:

UNCLE FLOYD!

Damn DC Pat kinda scary...
  9:55am wha?:

Constitution set to music. That was my second choice.
  9:56am Muffinky:

Fugg it up!
  9:56am Bad Ronald:

...must be a drummer thing.
  9:57am kevin Oster:

up my easy pass
  9:57am Hermano:

God save our gracious Queen,
Long live our noble Queen,
God save the Queen...
  9:57am Dan B From Upstate:

The American Flag has a nice velvety voice. It's like satin in my ears!
  9:58am dc pat:

BR: that's what I'm thinking.. did I tell you I got my drums back? MAN, they are in bad shape...
  9:58am Cecile:

the satin of freedom, dan b.
  9:58am D:

Speak English or die!
  9:59am Lizardner Dave:

The American flag later made a boatload of money doing voice overs for movie commercials.
  10:00am Dan B From Upstate:

The music faded. The flag doesn't seem to have the same command in it's voice...
  10:00am annie:

oh, that was a conflict?????
  10:00am Bad Ronald:

@DC Pat - can you rehab them?
  10:01am D:

Everyone should stand and remove their headwear.
  10:03am D:

I feel like I'm in East Germany.
  10:03am Miller:

Ruined such a beautiful set with this pseudo-patriotic dross
  10:03am dc pat:

some of it has to be replaced--completely rusted HH stand!--but some of it has already been fixed once. The poor fella is over 30 years old... I did get back my HUGE 20" Zildjan. Thing sounds amazing.
  10:05am still b/p:

Liking the picture of Lonesome pitching his pitch for Vita-Jax!
  10:05am D:

Go back to France, Miller.
  10:05am Bad Ronald:

Depending on how bad the rust is you may be able to clean up some of the hardware. The Zildjan should last you a lifetime.
  10:08am annie:

how vacuous this sounds
  10:08am D:

I'm going to have to put on Dave Emory in a moment.
  10:10am annie:

thurth? oh crickey
  10:10am dc pat:

that's why you lay the big money down on those cymbals. But they do crack some times.. Anyway, the kit is, as we use to say, "good enough for punk rock"....or "good enough for the kids"
  10:11am Bad Ronald:

Amen!
  10:12am Sam:

Have you heard the snake national anthem? It goes "America, America, God shed his skin on thee!"
  10:13am jaw:

Is this the new mariah?
  10:13am John from Oslo:

Sabian Paragon crash!
  10:13am AnAnonymousParty:

  10:26am AnAnonymousParty:

  10:27am Dan B From Upstate:

  10:28am dc pat:

YEAH Fugs! I haven't heard this in years...
  10:30am Bad Ronald:

  10:31am Alex:

Nice Cibo Matto. Great tunes today as always, Ken.
  10:31am dc pat:

gosh.
  10:35am postmanpaul:

Ken - I'm loving your seminal 7"s.
  10:39am still b/p:

A line from a script I'm learning: "Oh, seven is deep..."
  10:39am Miller:

YES!!!
  10:40am Michelle in Green Bay:

Damn. I just snorted coffee out of my nose. Thanks, Ken. Thanks a lot. Viva Mariah!
  10:40am mike g:

http://tinyurl.com/marbacvuv
  10:52am Mark:

The damn Long Island Railroad is doing maintenace work this weekend and is having "extremely limited LIRR service, especially between Jamaica Station and Penn Station into Penn Station" and they "Recommend LIRR should be used for essential business travel only". Does the WFMU record fair qualify as "essential business"?
  10:53am steve:

essential listening business
