  9:31am annie:

  9:41am Paul Sherratt:

annie,
There's a bullmastiff boo on u-toob.

Doug,
Grand that Manfila indeed and a neat segue to the Flamenco - the older stuff is something I've wanted to explore for a while.
  9:42am Terry:

Hey the drummer might be gettin some but I'm not getting any. Do I need a special player to listen? I just tried the pop-up player for an archive of Trouble's show and it worked fine. But I'm gettin nowhere with the drummer trying to play you through iTunes.
  9:44am Drummer Some:

Terry,
Go here: http://wfmu.org/wfmu_drummer.pls

It should open right up in iTunes.
  9:46am Hugo:

The actual URL for the show is:

http://motherlode.wfmu.org:443

Might help.
  9:48am Drummer Some:

Hugo,
That should have been changed to http://drummer.wfmu.org:443 COuld you check to see if that works?
  9:52am Hugo:

Doug, both URLs work.
  9:55am Drummer Some:

Thank you very much Hugo!
  10:08am Mitten John:

  10:18am marcury:

The squirrels are out for nuts.
  10:19am Alex in Illinois:

I am connecting using Windows MEdia player, by going to the Music Library view, then using the FIle-->Open URL option, and opening this URL: http://drummer.wfmu.org:443
  10:26am marcury:

I'm getting quite a bit of distortion, particularly on voice. Anybody else?
  10:30am Drummer Some:

Marcury, you mean on MY voice, yes? I assume I just set a bad level that time. Has it been distorted throughout?
  10:31am Alex in Illinois:

I did not notice distorion, but things seemed to be sounding tinnyer that I remember, so I opened the EQ window, and reduced the upper frequencies while boosting the bass ones.
  10:32am annie:

gd phone call..had to turn the volume down....crap!!!!!
  10:32am texas scott:

love those old radio spots.
  10:32am marcury:

More on voice, but I'm hearing it on everything
  10:36am Drummer Some:

The folks at the station had me adjust the bitrate of the stream I'm sending to the server. I've upped it from 128 to 256k. Not sure if that is the cause. Of course, it could be that I'm just playing a lot of crappy MP3s today.
  10:40am marcury:

Could very well be the MP3s, probably not upped bitrate, or maybe it's just those audio handjobs!
  10:44am Drummer Some:

Audio Handjob is now the official unofficial name of the show.
  10:47am jill:

how 'bout "Give the Drummer some Audio Handjobs"
  10:54am Kenzo:

Audio sounding very great to me.
  10:58am Drummer Some:

Hey hey Kenzo,
I reported your double re-encoded degrade theory about the audio last Tuesday and it set folks at the station abuzz working on it. Thanks!
  10:58am youthelectronix:

  11:02am jill:

Doug- have you made a sizeable dent in your banking account because of Jerry's Record Store?
  11:03am youthelectronix:

indeed. a fascinating man, a fascinating collection, soon to be available to everyone. check out his "audio autobiography" recorded for Folkways in 1961
  11:06am Drummer Some:

Jill,
I am ashamed to say that I haven't even walked into Jerry's since we've moved here. (I went ton during all of our visits leading up to the move.) I'm kind of afraid I may never leave...

I'm thinking of working a regular "what I bought at Jerry's this week" feature on my new Tuesday evening show.
  11:15am Drummer Some:

Nice loooooong Ebenzer Obey track coming up.
  11:24am Lisa from Brooklyn:
