  Sat. 7/3/10 9:56pm Marmalade Kitty:

@ texas scott, It's his-story, subjectively.. Dates of historical "importance" are celebrated originally by those who are directly affected by them. I think Tradition has a lot to do with why people continue to celebrate events that happened beyond living..
I suppose some people just like to revel for the hell of it, whether it is ficticious or relevant or not
  Sat. 7/3/10 9:58pm D. Blumin:

Jules- there's a new triple lp of singles and demos out now!!! Huzzah!
  Sat. 7/3/10 10:07pm D. Blumin:

  Sat. 7/3/10 10:13pm B. LaBonte:

Happy Independence Day, Der Blumin! Celebrate by moving to Chicago and buying the maximum 12 guns/year.
  Sat. 7/3/10 10:13pm Marmalade Kitty:

eg/November 5th, guy fawkes/bonfire night.. uk celebration regardless of "politics" for all but a hand full. The celebration becomes something else seperate to facts politics and truth.. usually sponsored by $***£..
  Sat. 7/3/10 10:14pm dave:

If the U.S. didn't get Maine in the War of 1812, George Bush probably would have been Canadian. Just a fun fact.
  Sun. 7/4/10 1:18am D. Blumin:

Happy Independence Day, y'alls!
Stay away from the burnt buns - it's a sure sign of a patriotism deficiency... and we don't want that on a day like today!
