A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Loretta Lynn carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

Isn't the World Cup that weird game they play with FEET?

i'm a world cup fan footballfan, so relax.
  Thu. 6/10/10 9:22am BSI:

As an american (by birth if not by choice) football fan, I agree witchu, Footballfan. But I get my digs in as well. Seems like hockey season would never freaking end. And now, we have our day(s) in the sun...
Thu. 6/10/10 9:24am north guinea hills:

As someone raised in the South, I can't believe I just referred to myself as a Yank, that's a four-letter word.
  Thu. 6/10/10 9:27am seang:

anticipation is everything, the actual event hardly ever lives up to its hype
  Thu. 6/10/10 9:29am Cecile:

Footballfan, I feel the same when people who watch the sport once every four years mock my beloved figure skating.
Although between you, me and the tree, Johnny Weir is one of the few bright spots.

  Thu. 6/10/10 9:31am dale:

i had a free to air mpeg3 satellite dish (before a lightening strike fried the receiver) and futbol was on everywhere. if you love the game you need a dish. don't think espn shows matchups like crete vs. portugal but the dish had it.

I know, Trouble! I'm going to miss Maria!!!!

Thu. 6/10/10 9:44am north guinea hills:

I'm betting England 2, USA 1, but I'm holding out hope for an upset.
I'm trying to see as many games as possible, thank the gods i have tons of vacation time.
  Thu. 6/10/10 9:45am Cecile:

Man, Adam Schlesinger can do no wrong. Ivy and Fountains of Wayne, and the Oneders :D
  Thu. 6/10/10 9:46am dc pat:

Eng 1, US 1 and Rooney will go off
  Thu. 6/10/10 9:46am dc pat:

I'd like to see that English redneck get the boot in the first match

Gene Pitney, Trouble! Gene Pitney!
  Thu. 6/10/10 9:49am BSI:

I'm with NGH. It'll be England 2-1. The loss of Rio won't be that devastating, methinks. It'll be close but Fabio/Rooney & Co. will take it.
  Thu. 6/10/10 9:50am dc pat:

oh yeah, Meek!
  Thu. 6/10/10 9:51am dc pat:

you guys are prob right but you never know with the US. Either way the US will make it out of the 1st round and then have to play Germany.
  Thu. 6/10/10 9:52am Cecile:

Fabio never ceases to amaze me. A footballer and a lover of great modern classical music!
  Thu. 6/10/10 9:52am listener mark:

Good morning, Trouble.
Good morning everybody.
I'm cleaning the kitchen while listening to the program. Multi-tasker, I.
  Thu. 6/10/10 9:52am dale:

cecile, i'm a pitney fan from way back, even have gen-o italiano (sings all his hits in italian). but his pairing with george jones is cringe-inducing. think he owns a golf course in connecticut today.
  Thu. 6/10/10 9:52am trouble:

i like to think my musical choices work quite well in the kitchen...
  Thu. 6/10/10 9:53am goalpostmanpaul:

n g hs' - yeah, timewise, we're lucky here in the UK.
dc pat - ?! Rooney has no neck.
Over here we're not too sure of our chances, we're kinda pessimistically optimistic.
Your team always rises to the occasion against us.
Personally, I reckon we'll put 5 into your net before halftime.
  Thu. 6/10/10 9:53am Cecile:

dale, I knew not of the George Jones pairing. That's like combining fried chicken and marshmallows. Yikes.
  Thu. 6/10/10 9:55am BSI:

If Rooney has no neck, that's one less thing to get injured. Whee!
Three Lions! Three Lions! (guilty of treason, I admit, but I'm citing ancestral reasons here)
Thu. 6/10/10 9:55am north guinea hills:

I saw every game in 2002, that was hell w/ the 14 hour time difference, but I was a lot younger back then, so my body allowed me to get smashed at the pubs and still make it to work an hour late, then take a nap after work and repeat. fun times.
  Thu. 6/10/10 9:57am dale:

he did a country record with melba montgomery too - i guess the three were on the same label. not nearly as awful, but still bad.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:01am dc pat:

ancestral reasons is why I called Rooney a redneck. He should be playing for the Irish Nat'l team anyway.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:03am dc pat:

I'm feeling guilty--I arranged to watch soccer all weekend with my beery friends while my wife/kids go off to visit her parents..
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:07am BSI:

DCP: Yeh, it's all an international mashup anyway. But England will definitely benefit from Fabio Capello's decidedly Italian chutzpah. Is that a word? Am I still driving? Barman! Brown ale please....
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:08am annie:

perhaps it's for the best, pat..
Thu. 6/10/10 10:09am doug in dc:

If you run "la ferme du bonheur" through Google Translate, it comes out "farm happiness."
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:10am jen v.:

the england vs. usa match is on saturday!
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:12am popo:

english beer better? my gateway DJ is not my taste consultant on beer for sure
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:12am dc pat:

right on trouble. Can you talk to my wife about the eventyness of the WC?
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:13am dc pat:

popo: I was gonna say. 20 years ago maybe, but not now.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:14am jan:

I'm intrigued- what do you teach at SVA- are you an artist too- like some other FMU personalities?
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:15am Cecile:

Beer in the US is amazing now. I live in the town where they make Surly, which is some of the best beer in the country.

Dc pat, tell her you're recharging your batteries so you can come back to the relationship refreshed and renewed.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:17am BSI:

Agree six million times, re: the superiority of English Rejuvinating Beverages...... have yet to find a decent bitter that compares, and I've been doing my research.....
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:17am BSI:

...although clearly I need to find this Surly of which you speak, Cecile...
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:18am Cecile:

BSI, you have to try Surly. if they ever distribute it out of the Twin Cities.
Thu. 6/10/10 10:19am Dead Corporate Eyes:

Surly Duff
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:20am Cecile:

LOL! Yeah.

They have the greatest taps - like a caveman carved them out of aluminum.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:20am popo:

i like fresh kind hops and i like a crystal clear german pilsner, the brits don't do that from what i have had, just that malty stuff that tastes old...clearly i should be drinking more and typing less i am in my mid week purge
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:21am dc pat:

part of the problem w/ good American brews is the really good stuff is only available at the brew-pub.

Cecile: or I can just say it was really boring without her there...
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:22am Cecile:

popo, Surly makes one of the best pilsners I ever drank, it's called Hel, which means light in German. Marvelous. And they make like 5 cans on it. :(

Aw, dcp, that's sweet....
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:23am Cecile:

YES! PB and J!
Thu. 6/10/10 10:25am Chris from DC:

DC has actually become a pretty great beer town. There are lots of places to get the good American stuff now.
Thu. 6/10/10 10:25am Dead Corporate Eyes:

hain't heard this un in awhilst
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:27am Jennique:

I have to say the best beer I've had is German. Jever and Berliner beer are my faves. Though Old Speckled Hen holds a special place in my heart. So torn, so torn.

I felt so cheated growing up in the U.S. with Bud Lite and wine coolers. Blech.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:27am BSI:

True 'nuff Chris: after all that treason-talk, we are getting a new pub in my 'hood with about six million taps (two booth tables have taps & credit-card readers, a very amazing-yet-dangerous concept). DC has come a long way in that category, surely.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:28am Cecile:

Jennique, I LOVE the Hen. It's like crack in a glass.
Thu. 6/10/10 10:28am Chris from DC:

That'd be Meridian Pint, yes? Dodge City is impressive, and there's always Pizzeria Paradiso next to my office.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:28am popo:

brooklyn center in MN? concentration of germans must be good for beer, creating a healthy peaceful society
Thu. 6/10/10 10:28am Dead Corporate Eyes:

it's cool now that even in the dive punk bars they have good beer on tap and in bottles
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:28am goalpostmanpaul:

True, Rooney has northern england grit, he is a working class icon who has been beatified by the Holy Father, Pontiff Capello.
He regularly eats a pre-match snack of black pudding, mushy peas and chips cooked in beef-dripping and washes it down with 5 pints of strong frothing ale served by cheery buxom wenches.
Thu. 6/10/10 10:29am Dead Corporate Eyes:

I'm afraid of what black pudding might be
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:30am goalpostmanpaul:

it is an aphrodisiac.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:31am BSI:

Chris: yep, that's Meridian Pint. It won't be open in time for England v USA, but soon after, and that is where I shall plant my butt for the next few weeks.

goalpostman: I gotta git me some o' them cheery buxom wenches.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:31am Patrick:

good morning Jersey City!! its cool and rainy here in Portland, hope its warm and sunny in JC!
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:32am Cecile:

DEC, the Triple Rock in MN (run by some gusy from the Dillinger 4) has wonderful beer on tap, and they wree even a little ahead of the curve in getting it. It's awesome, good chili, Discharge on the jukebox, and a pint of Surly. Doesn't get better than that.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:33am βrian:

Fist-bumps from Madison.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:33am trouble:

good morning patrick! we are thinking of heading up to portland in july. i will email you with more info...
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:33am dc pat:

gotta say if we're talking world cup of beer, I still have to go with Belgium. Nothing comes close for me.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:35am BSI:

DCP: Meridian Pint is supposed to be specializing in the Belgian stuff. As far as that goes, DeKonninck on tap is a fine fine thing.

dammit I'm thirsty.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:36am seang:

John Waters at the Boston Public Library tonight!
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:36am dc pat:

really! Meet you down at RFD in 15 minutes!
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:37am Jennique:

Cecile: I would most certainly concur about the Hen/crack likeness. Call it genius marketing, but I can't get the image of an old reddish-brown and gray specked hen out of my head when I order one. I think it adds to the appeal. I suppose I am a sucker for that kind of thing.

The Belgian beers I've had were so strong, I felt like I was drinking wine.

When I first moved to NYC there was a deli on the corner with an awing that read BEERS OF THE WORLD. What a welcome site that was.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:38am Patrick:

well you know you are always welcome! Emily and i where just talking about you guys the other night! she was hoping she would get to see Dj Icepack again soon.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:39am Bad Ronald:

@ Jennique - corner of 2nd and 9th?
Thu. 6/10/10 10:40am Chris from DC:

Jeez, now I have a craving for a pint of Kimberly's Best Bitter, but as far as I know you can only get it in Nottingham.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:40am Tuffz McGruff:

They still do make the DJ-KICKS series.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:40am john:

they still make DJ KIcks, and there still pretty decent!
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:41am goalpostmanpaul:

I'll drink anything, 'nough said...Generally, the Belgians are granted bottled beer superiority here in the UK, their black-cherry beers are sublime.
Hand- pulled fine English ales are a different kettle of fish altogether.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:41am Tuffz McGruff:

The Juan Maclean just released one like a month ago or so.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:41am Patrick:

woo sports and beer and art!
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:42am βrian:

There's a Madison in NJ? Pah!
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:42am popo:

  Thu. 6/10/10 10:43am BSI:

DCP: god, I haven't been to RFD in ages... It's been more trouble than it's worth to go down there since hockey season went insane a while back. But now it's safe to return methinks...! whohoo!
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:43am Jennique:

Bad Ronald; HOLY CRAP! You are correct sir! Wow. You win the prize. I lived on 9th between 1st and 2nd ave. I miss the East Village, now I am in Greenpoint where there are beers a-plenty.

TROUBLE! THANKS FOR THE OLD SPECKLED HEN SHOUT-OUT! Mad respect.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:43am ?:

there is everything in new jersey
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:44am BSI:

If memory serves, I think we in the DC area can get the Hen on tap at Galaxy Hut...
Thu. 6/10/10 10:45am Dead Corporate Eyes:

cosmic boy...I pulled this lp out the other week. good stuff!
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:45am Patrick:

i got some Surly beer in a trade in the winter and i have to say it is some of the tastiest beer i have ever had. plus the name alone "Surly" and their loose affiliation to the Bike company of the same name is rad, Bike and Beer, what more do you need?

we tend to drink a lot of Smuttynose Finestkind up here in Maine
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:45am Swami:

Fire Island IPA. Greenport Harbor Black Duck Stout. Any Belgian, but I lean toward the Chimays. Lived in Germany and loved the local brews. Sadly, on medicine for infected tooth and missing my daily Yeungling. (Love the Bock when I can find it). You said "beer", and there I went ,Trouble. Oh, by the way, GREAT SHOW!
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:46am Bad Ronald:

Holy crap indeed, we've probably crossed paths at some point. Do you remember Bobito's record shop on that block?
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:47am dc pat:

whoa, I haven't been to Galaxy Hut in ages...
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:48am Patrick:

hasn't the beer talk on WFMU been mostly reserved for Scott and Glens shows?
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:49am βrian:

I loved those beer shows.

Shout's to Bill From Galaxy Huit - one of the only places in the arlington i miss
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:49am Jennique:

I don't remember Bobito's for some reason. Where was it? I used to go to Veselka before they got all fancy and renovated. Glad the food is still the same. Too bad about the 2nd Ave deli moving. Too many banks now.

you beer lovers should go to some site like leeners and buy a true brew kit and make your own. i made a stout that i added coffee beans and bittersweet chocolate to that was fantastic. better yet, find a wine and beer making club and really go at it
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:53am trouble:

bonjour guuzbourg!
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:54am Jennique:

Trouble: This song gives me chills. I used to listen to this soundtrack on cassette tape over and over. Wish I had a copy of it now to listen to.

Thanks for playing my favorite track. Also love "White Gardenia" on that soundtrack. Can't remember who did that one.

I use to make beer but realized other people have more time to do it and theirs tastes way better than mine. That said, I made an amazing chocolate stout for my wedding. My neighbor thought I was baking cookies.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:55am Patrick:

trouble, are we going to do a live remote from downtown portland this year like we talk about or are you guys gonna come for the weekend?
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:55am guuzbourg:

Guido (aka Kashmir Boots) was over the moon that you played his Baudelaire-song a few weeks back
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:56am BSI:

Patrick: I lived for a brief time in Bangor (working on the magazine version of Maine Times) - 2002ish. Not sure if the Cadillac Mtn Stout was as good as I thought it was, but in mid feb., it was worth risking icy death to drive out Rt.1A to Geddy's for a mountain of crabmeat & a stout.....
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:57am Bad Ronald:

Yeah the loss of 2nd Ave Deli was a tough blow. Bobito's was a tiny step down in the middle of the block on the north side. It was open during the 90's from what I recall. Yeah the food at Veselka is still good. I'm ashamed to admit it but I used to be a regular at Telephone's... they had some fine ales on tap.
  Thu. 6/10/10 10:58am Patrick:

bsi: i would be more then happy to trade with you, where are you now? got any tasty local brews?
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:01am BSI:

good question..... DC isn't famed for its local brews. Capitol City is a local biz and I'm no fan of their stuff. Typical hop-heavy brewpub crap. Will ponder this...
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:02am dale:

dc pat, how did you add the choco? i just ground up the blocks and threw it in the wort, not as chocolate-y as i wanted. i also discovered that if you run out of nice beer bottles that plastic litre soda bottles work fine. there's no club around me but when i go visit the inlaws the supply store hosts a club and they have all the equipment, stove, pots etc. makes it easier. the place is always buzzing.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:03am dale:

re: dnd ave deli and veselka: shedding a tear for the kiev that once was.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:04am Jennique:

I think I went to Telephone's once or twice. It's kind of a blur. I used to go to that corner deli a LOT, sadly, and pick beers by theme - like ones with animal names, one with a biblical reference, etc.

McSorelys was a nice find back then. Amazed it's still around.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:05am dc pat:

my DIY buddy uses plastic soda bottles all the time. I just chucked the unsweetened stuff right in and used some chocolate roasted barely too I think. I have the recipe written down somewhere but this was 15 years ago...
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:06am Bad Ronald:

Ah yes the Kiev. A must for post gig munchies. I still go to that deli on 2nd for brew. McSorely's will never go away...
Thu. 6/10/10 11:06am doug in dc:

Churchkey here in Washington had a beer on tap last Winter named King Crimson. It was a red ale of course.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:08am goalpostmanpaul:

Trouble - you have most certainly got your beer priorities in good order.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:08am Cecile:

You have a bar called Churchkey? That is awesome.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:09am BSI:

I work about 2 blocks from Churchkey and haven't been yet. Very shameful. Dunno if they even have lunch hours. Perhaps it's time to find out...!
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:09am listener stu:

Hi Trouble ! Have you read Jannson's " the Dangerous Mid-summer "? To Dale and DC Pat Beer makers! I used to make pale ale when I lived in Boulder and Brooklyn, no fresh supplies ( just kits ) in Finland. Trouble, Im discombobulated today too, but I know it's because there's no chance of sleep when the sun shines all night!! dreaming away to your music again!!!!! ( day dreams are all you can have here in the summer ! ) thanx !!
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:10am dc pat:

BSI: I think they generally open at 4 and there's a line
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:11am dale:

prog group themed beers. tangerine dream. popul vuh. hocus pocus, please add to the list
Thu. 6/10/10 11:12am doug in dc:

@BSI: You have to get there early, it still has a lot of buzz and is packed by six. I've been a few times but only got a barstool once. Never been disappointed by any of their beers though.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:13am Cecile:

Sounds like the Anchor here. It's not so much the beer, but the great fish and chips.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:14am dale:

stu - i just buy the kits and modify since no supply house is close. i did have wild hops growing in the brush around my house a few years ago and should have had the foresight to pick them.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:14am drewo:

Hi Trouble. Enjoying your show. Now I can enjoy the whole broadcast in real time - as I am on "extended" summer vacation.
MMJ (Jim James' crew) are playing 5 nights in October in Manhattan, doing the full LP thing. Sounds very tempting.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:14am it's because:

i was just thinking yesterday about how i don't hear dylan often on wfmu.. probably an ignorant statement.. but this is just as close!
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:14am Jennique:

I was happy to be a female drinking from those smallish glasses, kicking around sawdust on the floor. We've come a long way baby.

Trouble: OH YOU ARE SPOT ON TODAY. This song is another chill-maker from the soundtrack of I'm Not There. Not a fan of Richard Gere but this song made this part of the movie so touching.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:18am it's because:

right jennique? gere as dylan as billy the kid.. questionable.. still liked it on the whole.. a bunch.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:19am Bad Ronald:

That's funny Jennique, I remember when they only had one bathroom!
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:20am Swami:

Trouble,
Similiar dental issue, but this is post root canal, post crown! Re-infected; as dormant for 2.5 months and then "blammo", lookin' like Popeye the Sailor Man. The anti biotic seems to be working, and I really hope to avoid oral surgery.Probiotic indeed! Been taking one for many months, along with many other vitamins.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:26am trouble:

stu! no i haven't read that one, we have a moomin midsummer book, but no dangerous...sounds like with all that sunshine thing scan get dangerous very easily. hi to the little moomins and mama moomin
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:27am trouble:

Thu. 6/10/10 11:27am doug in dc:

  Thu. 6/10/10 11:28am dale:

  Thu. 6/10/10 11:28am Carmichael:

Dick Shawn, the hippest Hitler ever!
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:29am Jennique:

This song makes me feel like I'm drunk. (I'm not)

  Thu. 6/10/10 11:31am annie:

i met a young woman whose mother named her after blossom dearie and i immediately steered her to the FMU archives for joy and sweetness!

I heard a performance ( the dangerous mid summer ) on the radio today, Guess it goes with "The Magic Winter " ( Taika Talvi ) I'll see if I can find a copy in English. To Dale thanx ! to all : cheers. My advice : McSorley's for lunch ! ( too crowded later and the sunshine is perfect and fleeting ) Dick Shawn is Merman's son ? whew !! the things I learn here !! cheers Dinner time with Trouble ! great

  Thu. 6/10/10 11:40am Jennique:

Boy did she have some pipes!
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:40am Cecile:

this is about as authentic as Liza Minelli singing the collected works of Son House. I absolutely love it.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:41am dale:

re: mad mad world: seeing the stooges as old men - one flag
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:41am Carmichael:

I like the swingin' cats singing background. Bet they look like the Vogues ...
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:43am dale:

i always wanted to be reincarnated as a jordanaire.

Cowboys also love bourbon in a glass. And onions.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:45am still b/p:

How about one of Fred's Pennsylvanians?
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:47am Carmichael:

I thought being a dancer for Sha Na Na would be kinda cool. Can't beat the outfits, and apparently there's no fitness requirement.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:47am hamburger:

loving this set, ted hawkins was a treat
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:47am Cecile:

Yes, you'll either lose weight or end up on an episode of WEtv's "Snapped"
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:47am annie:

trouble...... thank you
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:48am dc pat:

  Thu. 6/10/10 11:51am still b/p:

I saw Deep Purple as the 2nd show of my concert-going days...but first I saw....Sha Na Na.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:53am dale:

a friend of mine saw them at a yonkers theater towards the end. not a lot of nyuk nyuks, but he was just excited to see them in person.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:53am Jennique:

Trouble: loving these sound track hits. This is the only song I can remember from The Aristocats. I tend to hum it in my head on the rare occasion I do see a Siamese cat in person.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:54am Jennique:

Bowzer.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:54am dale:

i was a laurel and hardy man myself. i just loved how they could destroy a model t or move a piano
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:54am drewo:

I saw the Ramones open for BOC in '77. Did not quite understand the concept at the time - with the leather gear and tough guy posture - I thought they were Sha Na Na on speed!
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:54am Carmichael:

My 1st concert was Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show. The opener was Taj Mahal, who was vastly better.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:55am Cecile:

Jennique, that is about the only good thing about the Aristocats...
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:55am annie:

dale, my fave skit of theirs is the one in which ollie picks up stan at the vet's hospital and ollie thinks stan has lost his leg, so he tries to pick him up and carry him to the car
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:55am Carmichael:

Thanks for the music, Trouble!
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:56am annie:

my first concert was procol harum with steeleye span as the opener, 1971
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:58am Cecile:

Mine was Skyhooks in 1976- with Australian Sha Na Na-alikes Ol' 55 opening
Nice, Annie.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:58am dale:

hee hee, i like when stan tries to pull ollie out of the hole in the floor and stretches his neck way out. they always seemed to have an orphan baby in a dresser drawer
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:58am Jennique:

First concert: Kool & the Gang at Chicagofest.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:58am annie:

yup, i hoped you'd see that ; maddie rocked!
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:59am BSI:

whoa, Annie, that would've been vastly cool.
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:59am dale:

my first concert was renaissance. then moody blues. procol harum must have been great
  Thu. 6/10/10 11:59am annie:

  Thu. 6/10/10 11:59am still b/p:

  Thu. 6/10/10 12:00pm Cecile:

  Thu. 6/10/10 12:00pm Carmichael:

I did save every one of mine. Showed them to everyone until they're bored to tears.
  Thu. 6/10/10 12:00pm BSI:

A hugely long version of King Henry would've been great...
