Not to be confused with the animated Disney classic, "101 Vexations"

I hope not - otherwise you'll have to pay for a new Mic QKK :) Perfect music to start a Sunday, cheers Dan.

Vexed indeed. Very vexy music.

Dan B:
No, sadly. But I think I saw Messiaen look askance at me as I laughed during that particularly somber piece of music. Not really a laughing matter, this piece.

Qi Kung Kwan:
It is when you play all the notes at once

Dan B:
@Tom, I think you just gave me the new theme to describe my show with: Vexy music
|
Sun. 5/30/10 7:15am
Qi Kung Kwan:
Who has time for all the vexation these days anyway?
|
Sun. 5/30/10 7:16am

I thought physicists had yet to discover laughing matter.

Gary Numan gets a facelift; Gary Coleman gets a dirt-nap. Is there no justice?
|
Sun. 5/30/10 7:36am
Dan B:
RIP Dennis Hopper and Gary Coleman...all in one weekend. American culture is in serious trouble.

Awake a little early in Chicago with one-month old baby Betty, sipping tea, doing a little legal work while wife reads morning paper. Nice tunes, Dan. Thanks.

Mickey Mephistopheles:
I don't suspect our current generation is as optimistic about the future as previous ones. I believe this is why steampunk, a fantasy future of the past, has supplanted the optimistic fantasy future of authors like Arthur Clarke.

Ms Anthrope:
Slogan idea: "The future is sound as a Euro."
|
Sun. 5/30/10 8:52am
Dan B:
@MM, good point. Steampunk music? Where is it? I guess Tom Waits' experimental side might count. It's simultaneously retro and relies on broken current technology. @Ms.Anthrope, yes, they're WAY AHEAD over there in Europe. Always.

Looms:
A few comments: - Sad to learn that Ellipsis Arts does not exist anymore. - Talking Heads' records are killer! At least 'til Speaking In Tongues. - I have no idea how 2020s' music will sound like. I hope it will be out of wellknown territories and hope to be surprised. So i don't wanna know yet. - You're right about our needs in the future: everything i need after hearing Wendy Mae Chambers is an aspirin pill. Another good one, thanks!
