  9:16am
annie:

she is so prolific.. love her stuff..
  9:19am
jason:

this meredith monk is a new compilation of her early material, mostly late 60s (that track was from 1967)
  9:21am
jason:

and hey, good morning everyone!
  9:24am
AnAnonymousParty:

This reminds me of Weather Report.
  9:28am
britt:

Hey ya Jason! At the SXSW show Liz asked if I knew you and I acted perplexed. Which is nuts because I listen to and love your show every week.
  9:29am
maria t:

Hi Jason! Glad to see you are back from SXSW/etc. Am tuned in.
  9:40am
dc pat:

I like this bumbadoomba---mmba--mmba tune..
  9:44am
BSI:

ditto. Perfect sounds for getting the mind all gooey for an edit meeting.... I'll spend the whole time making bubbly mumbly vox. They'll love it.
  9:50am
jason:

hey thanks so much britt, id heard great things about you and they were true! yes maria somehow we made it back. dc pat and bsi i'm glad you're enjoying this gipsy and i from ilyich
  9:53am
m p:

this show is starting to put me in a good mood.
  9:53am
dc pat:

MAN, that Arrington de Dionyso can really work a "jews harp"
  9:54am
mike:

  9:55am
north guinea hills:

  10:34am
annie:

  10:46am
Ne-guh-tor:

I really like Yello. Once again, I find it hard to find takers among my hipster fiends. Why? The guy sounds like Lemmy!
  10:50am
Ne-guh-tor:

Man, I was looking at some photos of Cosi from her performance art days....WOW! Has anyone seen some of this stuff? Hot!
  10:52am
Brandon:

Yello has a child-like innocence and playfulness to them. Hard for a hipster raised on detached cool to handle.
  10:55am
Cecile:

Yello were crazy inventive from the beginning. I read an interview with Dieter where he was running around Zurich in the 70s with green hair down to his waist.
  10:59am
Carmichael:

Good morning.
  11:01am
Blue:

I despise Yellow, that bastard son of Red and Green.
  11:01am
Duke of Earl Grey:

Neat sounds. Earlier, radio alarm clock came on, was startled to hear Scott McD. over the air at 91.1 (Passover? = no JM to cause me to leap out of bed and try to smash radio alarm clock to pieces, thus effective for waking up) and enjoyed the transition from Scott McD's show to this show.
  11:03am
F. Sharkey:

I believe it's That *Petrol* Emotion, not "Petricol."
  11:05am
George Takei:

YellowIS the fourth color.
  11:08am
David:

Jason, don't you mean how long Johnny Lydon lasts with Nardwuar?
  11:09am
seang:

shoot that poison arrow through my heart
  11:18am
jason:

thank you f sharkey, i am making up words
  11:19am
Carmichael:

She is either drunk or this is stroke victim outpatient therapy.
  11:21am
Morrisey:

Feargal, you're cracking sharp this morning!
  11:21am
dc pat:

dangit. how'd I miss Gunslingers? Hopefully going to see them tomorrow night.
  11:24am
Ne-guh-tor:

My band Rocket Cottage has been compared to This Heat. Needless to say I was flattered ;)
  11:27am
Ne-guh-tor:

Jason, did I send you and EP from my band?
  11:27am
J-Mar:

This Heat, followed by Terry Callier. This is why I tune in to WFMU. Awesome show!
  11:28am
F. Sharkey:

Thanks, Moz. I still look out for those blokes even though I don't play with them anymore.
  11:28am
BSI:

back with a vengeance. whatever that means.
  11:36am
Duke of Earl Grey:

BSI 2: Hand-Cranked Boogaloo? Revenge of the Attack of the Blue Sausage Infant?
  11:37am
Cecile:

this trus'me is hitting the spot
  11:39am
Cecile:

anyone catch the Sylvester episode of unsung on TVone? It was marvelous, if bittersweet.

And I never knew the Pointer Sisters were his backup group! Man, he could have had a career in A&R - first the Pointers, then 2 Tons/The Weather Girls.
  11:41am
BSI:

Duke: hell, I'd pay to see that one.
  4:17pm
jason:

whoops, the track originally credited to gipsy and i from ilych is actually by kommunyzm and the track is called "Стачка шахтеров в Кузбассе"
  4:17pm
jason:

translates to: The miners strike in Kuzbass
