  Mon. 3/15/10 4:57pm KM:

great picture. it looks like the clouds are slowly spiraling around the sun while it sucks them in,
  Mon. 3/15/10 4:57pm Looms:

It's been strange how i disliked this Trembling Bells album at first, then how it became one of my favourites of 2009. Great stuff!
Mon. 3/15/10 4:58pm north guinea hills:

oh, wow, i love this trembling bells. it's like fairport w/ less rock. isn't this alex neilson's project?
  Mon. 3/15/10 4:58pm Irene:

That's great to hear! Paris and the UK stay connected. Happy to have you with us any time of the day (or any plac).
  Mon. 3/15/10 4:59pm v k:

the soothing voice of Fred Neil - 'the dolphins' by Fred remains one of my fav songs to zone out to - first heard that tune on the Sopranos (Christopher shooting H)
  Mon. 3/15/10 5:02pm Pidge:

Thanks for the Scott Walker. This Fred Neil sounds awesome. A little Tim Buckley, Lorca-ish. Irene, you seem like the only one who might play some Mark-Almond someday, and not the Soft Cell guy. Anyway .... great marathon and I loved your Spanky!
  Mon. 3/15/10 5:05pm KM:

I've been meaning to ask for the longest time.. is there a possibility of Alan Davidson ever making another live appearance on the show? he used to be on seemingly annually, though clare and the reasons have that mantle now.
  Mon. 3/15/10 5:07pm Looms:

What's that Kitchen Cynics project? Sounds a bit like Baby Dee... Lovely.
  Mon. 3/15/10 5:09pm helena:

i love tim buckley's voice...hello from greece...
  Mon. 3/15/10 5:10pm Irene:

Oh, I'd really love it if Alan could come back over to this side of the pond! A few days ago I sent him a note to catch up on things here. I suspect it's a money issue. He's also been trying to get me to go over to Scotland to visit but it's not feasible at the moment for me. If I ever do go visit Alan I'll tape some music when I get there, you can be sure.
  Mon. 3/15/10 5:11pm Peter K.:

Beautiful post-marathon mellowness. I'm loving every moment of it.
  Mon. 3/15/10 5:11pm pidge:

thank you for the lorca ..... :>) your show is soooo good
  Mon. 3/15/10 5:14pm Irene:

Thanks everyone! By the way, Kitchen Cynics is Alan Davidson from Aberdeen Scotland-- one of the most prolific, interesting songwriters I know. http://www.myspace.com/kitchencynics
  Mon. 3/15/10 5:17pm Cecile:

good afternoon, and boo, I missed something from Lorca...
  Mon. 3/15/10 5:17pm KM:

You'd be very welcome in Scotland, be sure to bring that camera too! If you were to have the spare time after visiting him, travel up and down the west coast and the isles, it's beautiful.
  Mon. 3/15/10 5:18pm Looms:

Thanks for the link, Irene. (great picture of you there!)
  Mon. 3/15/10 5:26pm NS Andy:

Nova Scotia, too, Irene!
  Mon. 3/15/10 5:29pm Looms:

DJing for WFMU becomes a true adventure through (local) time and space...

You're quite right, Irene.....finances are stopping me from visiting the USA for a while. But thanks very much for slotting my song between two of my all-time favourites!!!!
