This early seventies thing did'nt get noticed the first time and you talk about friends of like Dealney and Bonnie who had records out like we're supposed to remember who they are. Then you play this long winded free jazz stuff that really grates on my nerves. And that noise without a beat and sounds like someones being pinched. Then you play a reggae song, I think you called it Dub, to what, be cool? You seem to really fetishize the whole folk thing too which is obnoxious to us who don't even care. 	7:50am gareth: At 7:30 UK time my computer and amp turn themselves on and start playing wonderful WFMU. I love every single one of you already and I will cough up as soon as I got the cash and time . It's not that easy . Really . I'm not after any free gifts just keep on keepin' on.

	7:56am Please Play: More music. I like the music. I can't afford to pledge. not 20 and certainly not 180. I can never afford an over-priced anything. I make sandwiches at home. It's not really hard. I make coffee at home and I put it in a thermos. I'd love to give you money and I appreciate the fact that you need some for your station but one song and then 10mins of rambling begging sucks.

	8:14am WFMU DJ: less rambling yourself, "Please Play" - we put in huge amounts of energy and money to provide this. If you can't be positive about what we do, shut up.
	8:21am CheriPi: Dear Please play-you have no idea how important this pledge drive is, I too make sandwiches and avoid coffee shops in lieu of homemade-but I find that listening to the pledge drive is actually a small inconvenience compared to having no FMU ever again! Hang in there and stay positive, Maybe pledge 20 bucks then save up for it?
	8:22am KM: I personally prefer more talking during the marathon! I always feel a little sad when regular programming returns afterwards and the DJ chat is relegated to handovers and pseu vs. bryce. Half-hour sets of music are always great but this two week out of the year exception is necessary or there'd be no music or station at all! And it's still good listening.
	8:24am CheriPi: My mom said "Why are you LISTENING to a pledge drive?" Parents just don't understand... FMU pledge drives are just as fun and interesting as their rest-of-the-year programming.
