A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Loretta Lynn carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

I donated my chunk earlier in the week as well but with a nod to you. My girlfriend and I are looking forward to getting your premium. In fact, your show was my girlfriends entry point to WFMU. You helped her "get it" and I thank you for that! Keep it up Trouble!

A friend is stranger than someone you haven't met.
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:09am Cecile:

I don't miss the 30 odd bucks a month in my mouse pledge installments. And it's worth it to own Ken. And get the big box of love in August.
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:12am Cecile:

You should play Halifax by the Hampton Grease Band.
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:12am Barney:

(Miller place = suffolk county, LI)

and the kid wore out the cd by practicing removing and replacing it in the cd player--is that overly permissive parenting?
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:13am Cecile:

Those of you with overly permissive, encouraging parents....

Do you think they would adopt me? :D
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:19am Mark:

Last year I got laid off a week after donating a mouse pledge. Even though I wish I had the money back, the music of WFMU helped turn being unemployed to being funemployed. Now I have a new and better job and want to help support with another mouse pledge. Thanks for the great music!
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:22am Brian:

Where is the Ann Arbor contingent?
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:24am Cecile:

that makes sense. You have to draw the moisture from the egg whites gently. Eggs and heat should be a slow, gentle process. Otherwise? albumen that tastes like pencil erasers.

I'm an ex-A2 person.

@Mark: That's a great, inspiring story!
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:26am ?:

that guy shouting 'thank you' sounds almost like two guys fighting out my window.
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:26am Andersen Boat:

From Saugatuck says....25 cents a day is nothin'n compared to ur gifts of music
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:27am Brian:

Is funemployment like unenjoyment?
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:28am Cecile:

OMG. OMG. OMG. That's too funny.
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:29am Vivian:

Will WFMU archive Yo La Tengo's set for those who were wrangled into Friday Night commitments?
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:32am hotsauce:

everyone thinks they're stylish, even me.
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:37am B:

Trouble, I wish your show was on every day!
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:38am trouble:

vivian, the YLT show is usually not archived...and B: you can listen to my show everyday with all the years of archives!
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:39am Carmichael:

Guh more, guh more ...
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:40am Patrick:

T, you might not be "stylish" or "trendy" but you are the coolest person i know, and when the marathon is over i would love to trade music! maybe we will come to JC for the nurses sale in the spring!
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:42am trouble:

yes patrick that sounds like a plan, and then we can finally trade artwork too!
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:42am CheriPi:

Trouble, your show this morning is as gorgeous as the morning here in Cincinnati.
Thu. 3/4/10 10:45am Andy in Iowa City:

Love your show Trouble! It's easier to donate once, so that's probably how I'll do it. Last year I donated during your show. This year I think I'll do it during Dave's show with Rex. But it'll be a Mouse pledge for you and all of WFMU's wonderful DJs!
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:45am postmanpaul:

and trouble, your show this morning is also as gorgeous as the early afternoon here on the uk south coast.
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:46am Cecile:

Trouble, they sometimes release tracks from the 'FMU fundraiser as singles or on comps, right? I think the version of Speeding Motorcycle they did with Daniel Johnson on the phone was from a fundraiser...

PMP! good to "see" you
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:48am postmanpaul:

and i pledge to pledge before the circus leaves town. and thats a promise.
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:52am postmanpaul:

hi cecile - yeah, good to see you around too.
do you have ken by the balls again?! if so i'm sure he knows he'll be in good hands again!
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:52am Carmichael:

If anyone could get me to pledge, it would be Daniel Johnston.

Or Christopher Walken.
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:53am CheriPi:

Trouble-your show is lighting up the whole planet!
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:54am B:

Trouble, I love the archives, but my iPhone doesn't do Flash and my employer doesn't allow streaming. Otherwise I'd never stop listening!
  Thu. 3/4/10 10:56am fishmonkeystew:

Inflamed hippies? Isn't there an ointment for that?
  Thu. 3/4/10 11:03am seang:

  Thu. 3/4/10 11:03am postmanpaul:

  Thu. 3/4/10 11:04am Maria T:

  Thu. 3/4/10 11:05am Erik:

  Thu. 3/4/10 11:06am dale:

  Thu. 3/4/10 11:08am Nina:

xo Nina B
  Thu. 3/4/10 11:09am trouble:

  Thu. 3/4/10 11:09am Noah:

Nah, Most Def didn't have anything to do with the production. That was Madlib and OH NO...
  Thu. 3/4/10 11:14am olgu:

4 NY? this is what happens when you pledge at work!
  Thu. 3/4/10 11:18am Erik:

Noah, ah that explains it. Apparently Selda has a complaint against it too: http://tinyurl.com/ygvxuon
  Thu. 3/4/10 11:18am Patrick:

oh man that means i am going to have to make something that is trade-able and not a giant installation!
  Thu. 3/4/10 11:24am still b/p:

Patrick: You happen to be showing anywhere I could look in downtown P. during tomorrow evening's Walk?
  Thu. 3/4/10 11:34am Andreas:
