Did FMU get the CD reissue of Devil's Anvil "Hard Rock from the Middle East" (1967)? "Selim Alai" recommended

No offense, but didn't the Knack do any other songs? "Sharona" = the most pervasive earworm imaginable. I bet the classic rawk stations are now pumping it 7x/day, up from 3x/day. YES! Ngozi Family! Awesome.
|
Fri. 2/19/10 11:56pm
Bill Mac:
We've received some really nice Middle Eastern psyche over the last couple years. I'll have to keep an eye open for that one

Ike:
Oops, sorry, failed to ID my bitchy self.
|
Fri. 2/19/10 11:58pm
Bill Mac:
I know what you mean about My Sharona. I grew up with that song when it was a hit. it's the only Knack song I like however
|
Fri. 2/19/10 11:58pm
scott:
dang.Ike.How could you?
|
Sat. 2/20/10 12:03am
Ike:
Very easily, Scott. (Is that TX Scott? What happened to Texas?) I hope the rest of the Knack lives to be 175 just so I don't have to hear that song repeatedly again soon on any of my fave stations.

Tom ( The Bactrian Support Network ):
wow that's one I've not dusted off in a LONG time *This Was* always like Mick Abrams playing,,, and "Cuckoo" one of the best "unknown" Tull numbers and you seem to agree too Bill ? being a Tull fan or .. not...
|
Sat. 2/20/10 12:38am
Bill Mac:
I I've had as much exposure to Tull as most fans did. They were as pervasive a Bowie or Zeppelin back in the day, but their formative material holds up better than the baroque style classic stuff.
