Brooklyn-based Vitamin D plays what they call "trumpety thought pop." Fronted by trumpeter/multi-instrumentalist Dennis Cronin, the music is graceful, catchy and bittersweet. Vitamin D just released their second album, "Bridge," and they played some of those songs live on WFMU.

  Mon. 2/8/10 3:54pm Bryan:

Irene, I kind of hate you for having an early copy of this album. Damn my resolution not to download things early! But the wait for vinyl will be worth it.
  Mon. 2/8/10 3:54pm Bryan:

But I kind of love you for playing songs off it!
  Mon. 2/8/10 3:55pm Irene:

That last one in particular was lovely -- and so nice to hear Dennis again. He was always a highlight of Lambchop shows back in the day! ("Back in the last century," he says in his geezer voice.)

Great to hear Clint Newman in there as well..
  Mon. 2/8/10 5:08pm Vini:
