  9:21am
Stuart Troutman:

I'm in Charlotte NC right now, and I can hear Chadbourne making this kinda noise out in the woods all the time.
  9:21am
annie:

breakfast of homefries and three over-medium eggs.. in olive oil!!
  9:25am
Chris:

I once saw Dr. Chadbourne play a metal milk carton placed on his head
  9:26am
dc pat:

hey. avocado w/ salt and Tabasco and corn tortillas for me..
  9:27am
dc pat:

I like the electric rake. His Dobro pickin is amazing.
  9:28am
annie:

avocados.. nice..
  9:29am
Chris:

The milk carton was in conjunction with the rake
  9:34am
bobw:

hi hi hi. brekkie: a not so appetizing fried egg, cheese, tomato, onion on a roll sandwich, side of nearly flavorless homefries, from the infamous flamingo diner.
  9:38am
dc pat:

there's a diner-like joint on the way to work that serves homefries with tomatoes in them. Unorthodox for sure but they're amazing. They have vegan meatball sandwiches too but I haven't tried those.
  9:41am
Chris:

The two week limit on keeping opened butter is just a suggestion, right? Smells a little flat but I'm going for it.
  9:43am
dc pat:

man, my mom use to leave butter sitting out and we'd use it for weeks and weeks..people say it can go rancid but I think you'll live
  9:44am
annie:

i leave butter out all the time.. unless i know the mice are going to eat it..
  9:45am
BSI:

breakfast: vitamin c, strong coffee, mumbled curses...
  9:49am
Terry:

Fava beans, salt, slice of rye bread with prunes and hazelnuts. Green tea.

  10:17am
Terry:

Kii-ante is for Tuesday mornings only
  10:22am
dc pat:

have fun annie
  10:37am
bobw:

if you're a fan of the traditional diner breakfast, you've got to experience B&H in the east village, 2nd ave. btwn st-marks and 7th street, west side of the street. 2 eggs, homefries, challah toast with butter, coffee. their potatoes are the best! they cook them with some veggies and bother to season them, unlike most places. oh, and it's a vegetarian joint, which is good by me!
  10:48am
Alessandro:

moyen means...means!
  10:49am
Bad Ronald:

If you prefer the greasy spoon you can go across the street to the Stage Diner...
  10:51am
dc pat:

B&H, eh? sounds good...next time I'm up there. By the way, who DOESN'T like traditional diner breakfasts?

....and who doesn't like scantily clad lady bikers?...
  10:54am
Carmichael:

Good Monday morning, Yuletiders and others.
  10:56am
Binky:

This cannot be the right rpm (electric bunnies).
  10:56am
Chris:

The Electric Bunnies LP is great. It's a gatefold that doubles as a board game.
  10:57am
Chris:

yeah and the speed is off
  10:58am
Cecile:

I am having a triple chocolate brownie and an espresso con panna from a little coffeeshop here. I need the fuel. It's like -10 with the windchill, and I've spent close to an hour at various bus stops today.

bobw, thanks for the tip.
  11:00am
Chris:

I don't know if it is because I'm getting older but I find myself more and more playing records at the wrong speed and not noticing it. I thought the Vampire Hands LP was a slow druggy afair until I changed the speed eventually.
  11:01am
bobw:

yup. i screwed up the electric bunnies RPM! maybe i should focus on d.j.ing and not the comments page! dang.
  11:06am
dc pat:

I think only about 10 listeners noticed. I didn't...
  11:06am
paul:

CORN WEENIE!!!!!
  11:07am
Cecile:

bob, a 'FMU day without a record being played at the wrong speed (unintentionally or intentionally) is like a day without sunshine. Or orange juice.
  11:09am
mark:

yeaahh! corn weenie reaally really love to hear this today
  11:11am
bobw:

the RPM failure will be our little secret. or in the words of pee wee herman, "i MEANT to do that!"
  11:20am
Cecile:

or as Julia Child and Sara Moulton have said "never apologize, never explain".
  11:26am
Cecile:

Tim Horton's in NYC?!?!?!
Maple glazed donuts?
  11:32am
Carmichael:

Someone has a sweet tooth this morning ....
  11:34am
Ike:

ARGH. Some janitorial jackass at work threw out my nice jasmine green tea. I can't get my fix. OK, I'll be off sobbing and crying in a corner. Never mind me.

(I generally stay away from the donuts, but if Tim H. has some maple ones, I might try 'em. They've got a mini-outpost in Penn Station now.)
  11:35am
Cecile:

yes indeedy.

your leftover chicken tacos also made hella good chicken enchiladas...
  11:35am
Cecile:

The glaze is TDF, as the kids say.
  11:37am
Chris:

I thought Julie Child was famous for saying, "kill 'em all and let god sort 'em out."
  11:43am
Cecile:

No, that was "the only good chicken is a dead chicken."
  11:47am
Ike:

I thought that was my hometown comrade Frank Purdue.
