count the rings on the tip of the jack. If it's only one then it's a mono jack, and you'll only get one ear. Especially if you are using an adapter.

Jonny saved my life at least once. I was unconscious in an alley, the police were ready to take me to the coroner's, and by some kismet Jonny was on his way home and somehow convinced them to release my corpse to him, and he drove me to my house, where I proceeded to lay on living room floor and soil myself, sad but true story with a happy ending, THaNX Jonny.
