  6:02am
Chuck:

Morning! I need some wake up tunes, Meghan... Still groggy...
  6:03am
Joshua K:

Hmm weren't we just discussing Jeremy Enigk a few weeks ago or was that in another playlist :)
  6:03am
Meghan:

Morning Chuck! I just had a bug try to drink my coffee.... so now i have to run, clean cup and try that again....
  6:03am
Pieter:

Morning Meghan, morning all
  6:04am
Meghan:

hehe... morning Joshua! And yes we were!
  6:04am
Meghan:

Morning Pieter!
  6:04am
Joshua K:

I wonder what caffeine does to insects. Maybe it shortens their lifespan
  6:05am
Chuck:

I have a halogen floor lamp that 3 moths commited suicide in last night... Cooked bug, such a charming odor!
  6:06am
Meghan:

Well... considering i just made him drown in it.... i assume death!
  6:12am
Joshua K:

Was this a tougher theme to start with? You can't just pick related words to search for tracks like the other ones.
  6:13am
Meghan:

A bit... but not that bad... i had trouble with some letters... as you can see, I am doing it alphabetically....
  6:16am
Chuck:

This set sounds like it could be the sound track to an underground film, hehe... Siouxsie was for me, of course...
  6:16am
Meghan:

ohhh it would be a great soundtrack for a movie.... and of course Siouxsie was for you!
  6:24am
Chuck:

Thank goodness for web casting! This song would never air play otherwise...
  6:26am
Meghan:

The funny thing it has.... but must be web... cause the accuplaylist had it pop up
  6:33am
Jeff:

Hey, good morning all. Meghan, I'm sorry this didn't come to me the other night, but if you're still looking for a good "V" song how about VIctoria by the Kinks? I'm off to work... see ya!
  6:34am
Meghan:

I had a ton of V' names... U names is what I needed.... oh well... thanks Jeff
  6:35am
Dave B in NYC (aka DBinNYC):

Morning all. Sorry I missed the pirate show, but thanks a mil for the arrrrr-chives.
  6:36am
Chuck:

Interesting... Sam Talerico did a whole beach music show on VKR earlier this summer...
  6:36am
Meghan:

hehehehe..... you were dying to use that! Oh thank god I don't have to try to talk like a pirate any more... that was hard!
  6:38am
Joshua K:

When I was little we had a dog my mom named Fannie
  6:40am
Dave B in NYC:

Any Zappa in todays show? I know there should be a few applicable tracks...
  6:42am
Meghan:

you just missed it Dave! it was back as the letter D!
  6:45am
Dave B:

aww man. Coffee is just kicking in.
  6:59am
Barry:

looks like i missed a right bloody laugh ont he pirate show the other week..........aaarrgghhh.
great stuff.........
  7:00am
Meghan:

Hello Barry! Yes, they all had me giggling a lot!
  7:01am
Chuck:

Pete is going to be doing show at Vassar soon... Amazing that he still performs at 92...
  7:02am
Dirty Old Man:

If this is still a "work in progress", how about I Hate Sara - Eddie from Ohio. I can't believe I forgot this one!
  7:02am
Joshua K:

"Folk Songs for Young People" the ones who enjoy songs about drowning yourself in a river
  7:03am
Meghan:

I saw him in Beacon at that library/gallery. He plays for all of 5 minutes... gets rather winded. He has a lot of people to back him up. What a staple up there though huh?
  7:05am
Chuck:

Yup, he was interveiwed/sang on VKR a couple weeks back... I saw him and Arlo at a show way back in 83... He was in better shape then..
  7:06am
Ken From Hyde Park:

What the? No "Beth" from KISS? Maybe next year.
  7:08am
jonathan:

balls, missed Goodnight Irene - the song of choice for fans of Bristol Rovers FC. great show!
  7:13am
karen s.:

Megthan,
I thought we women stick together....I can't believe you took A's dare.
  7:16am
Meghan:

I had to! You have to call him out on his stupidity! So I figured if it gets aired, he may think twice.....
  7:16am
Joshua K:

There is that Make-Up DVD "Blue Is Beautiful" But I don't know if that track is available outside of that.
  7:18am
Chuck:

Ah, The Orbison... He is missed...
  7:18am
Joshua K:

Actually Blue is Beautiful is on the album "I Want Some"
  7:19am
Meghan:

Cool... I have lots of Make-Up... so if I have it, it will be played!
  7:29am
Chuck:

Nice job mixing genders of music, Meg! You selected songs that don't make jarring transitions in style... I hate rattling changes...
  7:30am
jonathan:

genders, lol.
  7:30am
Meghan:

Thanks.... it's kinda funny to see them mix like that... but i made an conscience effort to make sure the flow wasn't too erratic
  7:33am
Chuck:

I meant "genders" with the French pronounciation and connotation, Jonathan...
  7:42am
rick:

Hi, Meghan, I loved your doctor show two weeks ago, but alas missed your pirate show. I will try to hear it on archive. A friend of mine loved the Adam Ant Jolly Roger song. Belle & Sebastian are always good for some women name songs, for example: String Bean Jean or Lazy Line Painter Jane.

Keep up the theme approach and great music!
  7:44am
Meghan:

Awww thanks Rick! Will do!
  7:45am
Chuck:

So when does the final word come down for fall and possible extension of your show? The 30th?
  7:48am
Meghan:

Next week supposedly.... I think applications are due by Saturday... so we shall see! Fingers crossed!
  7:52am
Parq:

Okay, this Elvis song is jaw-dropping-open.
  7:53am
Meghan:

Good Morning Parq!
  7:55am
Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

Keep the faith. How can they resist the appeal of your show? I buried a statue of St. Joseph outside the station just to seal the deal. So, either your show gets renewed or someone will buy the building. I don't mess around.
  7:56am
Meghan:

ha! Thanks Dum Dum and good morning to you!
  8:09am
jeff p:

i'm in!
  8:10am
meghan:

Jeff P! Finally!
  8:12am
Parq:

Ah, so you did find a U song.
  8:13am
Meghan:

Yup! Took a LOT of looking! Damn U names....
  8:14am
Chuck:

Had to happen... Just can't pass on a Pixies song, can you, Meg...
  8:14am
jeff p:

yeah the end of tha alphabet is a tough one
heh. hte pixies. BIG surprise there :-)
  8:15am
Meghan:

hehehe... nope! Be thankful i omitted all the Nick Cave... I could have drowned you all with him!
  8:16am
Chuck:

Is this from the LP I lent you way back? Or did you go ahead and get the CD?
  8:17am
Meghan:

oh I have had Bossanova for a LONG time. It was Trompe le Monde I didn't have.... that was the one you lent me
  8:18am
Chuck:

Oh yeah! I've passed so much music around over the years I don't remember who got what, hehe...
  8:19am
Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

I don't care if they were a TV band, The Monkees were one of the GREAT bands of the 1960s. There, I said it.
  8:19am
messica:

more bands need to use tamborines!
  8:20am
jeff p:

ugh. and i have to leave for a meeting in 10 minutes....
  8:24am
Andy in Berlin:

Hi Meghan,

I guess you could do a million of this theme! How about "Andrea" by the Sunrays (the pseudo-Beach Boys)? Oops! I just realized you were going in alphabetic order. Well, 999,999 more tries!
  8:24am
Chuck:

Groovy, baby! Email me your specifics!
  8:24am
john jr peel:

how about
bleach - wipe it away, old shoegazing english band, one of their best tracks
  8:24am
Meghan:

Jeff you need to stop scheduling meetings on Thursdays!
  8:25am
jeff p:

there's food, at least.
  8:26am
Meghan:

ohhhh i Love Bleach! I saw them live in Chicago.... opening for Kitchens of Distinction.... Just not a woman's name....
  8:28am
Meghan:

Chuck just getting the specifics together... I will give you a call... thinking of staying up there.....
  8:28am
Chuck:

Not to be knit-picky... Check your playlist after the show for errors... There are a couple...
  8:29am
Meghan:

There are? I will look over it later....
  8:30am
john jr peel:

oh, sorry. i didnt realise it had to be a womans name. ok. nice concept. wow im temporarily stuck. doesnt nick cave have a track with a womans name beginning with w. oh zappas willie the pimp;)
  8:30am
Chuck:

End of set 3, song and artist are inverted and you missed the "d" in Concrete Blonde...
  8:32am
Meghan:

ahhh thanks Chuck! And John Jr Peel.... I am a Nick Cave FIEND.... so I figure I would give them all a break... could have had an entire show of him.... hehe But you have GREAT taste in music!
  8:34am
Chuck:

Everybody Samba!!!
  8:34am
Andy in Berlin:

Now I'm disappointed! I thought Concrete Blone was a great name!
  8:35am
meghan:

hehe..... well now you have a new band name Andy! And great seeing you again here! You were always my middle of the night friend!
  8:35am
John jr peel:

cher what else would you be doing;). If you romanticize about BERLIN then check out this short film below - 13minutes of beautiful hilarity from the berlin Underground.
http://www.vimeo.com/6209093
  8:37am
Andy in Berlin:

that's because it's middle of the afternoon here
  8:40am
Parq:

On whim, I Google-imaged "blone" and discovered that a lot of other people can't spell "blonde" either.
  8:42am
Meghan:

it's the excitement of the letter E.... you just bypass that D! or skim by it, not fully pressing it....
  8:46am
Parq:

God, I never noticed before what a terrible harmonica solo that is on the Lennon track.
  8:49am
Avant Reguard:

E is one of those special letters that is all consuming along with
H, K, P, T and X
  8:57am
Parq:

Brava! All 26 letters covered. Mission Accomplished!
  8:59am
Meghan:

Phew! did it! thanks everyone!
  9:47pm
Ben:
