Playlist for Irene Trudel - September 21, 2009

Mondays 3pm - 6pm on WFMU 91.1 fm 90.1 fm wfmu.org

Music floating on calmer seas is "netted" by my ears and released to the hungry listeners. It's a stringy catch, but frequently live and always delectable.

Just tuned in to find you're playing a favorite track of mine, Sanctuary by the Mahavishnu Orchestra. First band I ever saw live.

Thanks, Irene.

Hi Peter! Likewise, it was nice to talk and get re-acquainted. Hope we see you and your wife Jill (forgive me if I'm not remembering her name right) at WFMU in the not-too-distant future!

Mon. 9/21/09 4:13pm From: Irene

Yeah, Samara's newest album is a little more produced but still great. The live set I recorded and hope to air in October is a little more like what you're used to.

Mon. 9/21/09 4:20pm From: Steven

shocking to hear what transfer into digital had apparently done to Tim Buckley... or how the tempo had been falsified in memory... what a relief to hear the applause!! lol

Mon. 9/21/09 4:51pm From: Dead Corporate Eyes

last few tunes were perfect for an early-fall walk through the woods...something i hope to be doing very shortly!

Mon. 9/21/09 4:52pm From: Chris

This Helena Espvall/Baoth thing is great. Is the record out yet?

Mon. 9/21/09 4:53pm From: Chris

Stupid keyboard: Batoh.

Mon. 9/21/09 4:54pm From: Irene

I think it's out. Helena & Masaki's last album was also really wonderful.
