Listener comments!

Sun. 9/20/09 6:33am From: mike cooper

I just sent Bruce Russell a message about Bob Dylans taste in music

Sun. 9/20/09 6:35am From: Bas, NL

In a way this -great- NWW track does sound a bit like Dylan going through my back garden.. ;)

Sun. 9/20/09 6:35am From: SteveN

That's interesting that you know how many people are tuned in to the MP3 stream at any one time. Instant ratings!

Sun. 9/20/09 6:35am From: Elisa Shebaro

Just wanted to say "hello"...I realize that you have listeners all over Europe but thought you might be interested to know I'm listening from Vicenza, Italy

Sun. 9/20/09 6:39am From: Héctor

Hello Dan, good afternoon!

Sun. 9/20/09 6:42am From: es

By any chance are you able to tell where people are tuned in or listening from?

Sun. 9/20/09 6:43am From: Dan B

@Mike -- Bruce Russel can email his thoughts on Dylan to danb at wfmu dot org and I will share them!
@Bas -- call the cops, quick!
@SteveN -- computers know all. Except how many people listen to all the other streams, or the on-air broadcast
@Elisa -- Thanks for checking in from Italy! Yay!
@Hector -- Nice to see you, as always!
@es -- no, not that advanced -- I'm sure someone can, but not me.

Sun. 9/20/09 6:44am From: Dan B

Just incidentally, I don't adjust what I play based on the dips in the numbers -- I love Lexie Mountain Girls, and everytime I play them the listenership dips by like 20-30 people, which I find fascinating and irrelevant to my choices about what to air.

Sun. 9/20/09 6:48am From: SteveN

Gee I'll never log off lightly again :-)

Sun. 9/20/09 6:48am From: andy from sunderland

Morning! Incidentally I ended up buying the Lexie Mountain cd because I heard them on this show. And I agree with Bas, this NWW is the sound of Bob Dylan going through your garden shed.

Sun. 9/20/09 7:17am From: alex

ok, this is a fucking horror... have some pity on us coming down on drugs

Sun. 9/20/09 7:18am From: alex

thanks, better...

Sun. 9/20/09 7:20am From: Dan B

Hah hah! I do have pity Alex, Bob backwards is designed to extract bitterness and mellow the mind, helping moss grow on a sedate back.

Sun. 9/20/09 7:22am From: alex

the bob, spelled backwards is fine, in fact delightful. the lexie was the horror, but again...I'm coming down?

Sun. 9/20/09 7:27am From: alex

ok, now this is awesome! I freaked out on acid on this song when I was a teenager... a perfectly creepy song...BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!

Sun. 9/20/09 7:27am From: SteveN

Good to see the dada sound poetry influence (Kurt Schwitters, Raoul Housmann etc) is still working its way through to a new generation.

Sun. 9/20/09 7:28am From: alex

ok, now this is awesome! I freaked out on acid on this song when I was a teenager... a perfectly creepy song...BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!

Sun. 9/20/09 7:28am From: Dan B

Well, it *is* true what they say about her tongue being able to detect the subtleties a spectrograph would miss.

Sun. 9/20/09 7:29am From: alex

a roman scandal!

Sun. 9/20/09 7:31am From: alex

i was going to go to sleep, but I think I'll spark a gitanes ( how pretentious)

Sun. 9/20/09 7:38am From: Parq

Dan, howdy. A road trip to visit the kid today, so here I am awake at 7:30. Gah. But I get to listen to your show in real time, so there's the silver lining.

Sun. 9/20/09 7:40am From: Dan B

Nice to see you here Parq!

Sun. 9/20/09 7:53am From: Ashley Pomeroy

I think it's Pekko Käppi with an 'o'

Sun. 9/20/09 7:54am From: Dan B

Ashley, thanks for pointing out the typo!

Sun. 9/20/09 8:01am From: young

well poo. i think i just ran over a bird.

Sun. 9/20/09 8:01am From: Tom L

Just want to say good morning, Dan and all. Great show.

Sun. 9/20/09 8:09am From: Dan B

@ Tom - Good morning!
@ Young - that sucks, sorry - you're listening in the car *and* posting comments?!

Sun. 9/20/09 8:20am From: zax

OMG, Robert Wyatt is reverse stealing King Diamond's keyboard lick from The Eye!

Sun. 9/20/09 8:43am From: Parq

Dan, I know it's probably too late in the game for suggestions (nee requests), but I'm nearing the end of the Moondog bio (from the prize warehouse, no less) and if you've got any of his stuff handy, I would totally dig hearing it.

Sun. 9/20/09 8:53am From: Dan B

How's that Parq? I had pulled it earlier, didn't think I'd get to it, so thanks for asking!

Sun. 9/20/09 8:53am From: Parq

Terrific. Many thanks.
