  Sat. 8/15/09 10:13am Hatch:

Nice selection Betsy! I was supposed to have John Compton do a live set on my show once, but he bailed on me. So disappointing...
  Sat. 8/15/09 10:15am Betsy:

Hey Hatch! Yeah I saw your note on the CD. I LOVE that record.
  Sat. 8/15/09 10:20am Hatch:

It's surely the best of his records... even better than Appaloosa, which I also love.
  Sat. 8/15/09 10:24am Betsy:

Oh I don't know that one! But yeah, it's such a great Californ-i-a sounding rekkid.
  Sat. 8/15/09 10:36am moonpie:

  Sat. 8/15/09 10:37am Betsy:

Moonpie! Hi.

  Sat. 8/15/09 10:40am Hatch:

Yeah you'd never guess he's from Boston!

Appaloosa was his first band, on Columbia records. Al Kooper produced their LP, there's a CD reissue in the library.
  Sat. 8/15/09 10:41am Jeremy agin:

being thick, aren't I? No regular show. Ah well, hope to see you making plenty of appearance anyway
  Sat. 8/15/09 10:42am Betsy:

Hey Jeremy, thanks for checking it out!

Hatch, I have heard of Appaloosa but I've never listened to it.
  Sat. 8/15/09 10:43am Parq:

G'Morning, Miss Betsy. Sorry I slept through the Paul, but digging your seventh reel.

  Sat. 8/15/09 10:44am PMD:

  Sat. 8/15/09 10:45am Hatch:

I'd probly go with "Pascal's Paradox."
  Sat. 8/15/09 10:46am Betsy:

Cool - looks like i"m going 'til at least noon now, so I'll play it!
  Sat. 8/15/09 10:51am Parq:

Yeah, Pam, we're pretty decadent. When we stay in B&Bs, we always have to negotiate breakfast time.
  Sat. 8/15/09 10:53am Laura:

You have excellent taste in music and an ear for a solid playlist. Glad I tuned in this morning while I clean my apartment.
  Sat. 8/15/09 10:54am Betsy:

Thanks Laura! Um, Parq, am I being piped through the elevators at some B&B?? W-I-L-D. ;)
  Sat. 8/15/09 10:59am Daniel:

  Sat. 8/15/09 11:02am Mezcal_Buzz:

What?? No Michael Shelley today? FAR OUT! Keep Rockin' Lil' Sister..
Sat. 8/15/09 11:02am Listener James from Westwood:

enjoyed hearing the michael hurley cut; heard that the first time as the music over the credits of a "deadwood" episode.
  Sat. 8/15/09 11:04am C.:

Speaking of, could you play something from the Nez man?
  Sat. 8/15/09 11:05am David:

Go Betsy. Taking Off an incredible movie. Carly Simon's song comes in the middle of an endless music try out scene. Also much intergenerational fun with alchohol and pot.
  Sat. 8/15/09 11:07am SmokinJ:

That's a given... :)
  Sat. 8/15/09 11:11am Betsy:

Good Lord! Ok, thanks for listening everybody! That was a fun show to do. -B
  Sat. 8/15/09 11:13am cuts:

Great show! Thanks.
  Sat. 8/15/09 11:14am Betsy:

Hey, thanks Cuts!
  Sat. 8/15/09 2:35pm Steve:

You have the most fantastic shows (not) on WFMU- I hope you become a regular at some point (if that's what you want). Everything is perfection- selection, segues and the photos are killer! You seem to find images I've never seen before or that blend so seamlessly with the music. If there is a fan club, I'm available to serve as secretary!
