Fabio! A pleasure as always.

Thu. 7/30/09 3:37pm From: brock

Had this been a real emergency, Shellac - End of Radio would have played.

Thu. 7/30/09 3:38pm From: pauladepipersdaughterinparis

had it been a real emergency we would have heard the warning signal and subsequently assumed the duck and cover position

Thu. 7/30/09 3:40pm From: north guinea hills

you're no good!

Thu. 7/30/09 3:42pm From: north guinea hills

terry riley!

Thu. 7/30/09 3:44pm From: jeremy the listener

this is really cool with headphones on. maybe another song you could make the difference only 1/4 of a second off; that'd mess me up good

Thu. 7/30/09 3:46pm From: jeremy the listener

well... that just sounded like an echo. no messing ensued

Thu. 7/30/09 3:47pm From: north guinea hills

jeremy, you can also just put both the realaudio and windows media player on at the same time like i am right now....

Thu. 7/30/09 3:48pm From: jeremy the listener

well then i'd have to double my yearly donation to the fmu lol

Thu. 7/30/09 3:49pm From: doug from dc

NGH, thanks for the serving suggestion.

Thu. 7/30/09 3:50pm From: Ike

People still use RealAudio?!?!! ;) I guess you can't really use the AAC+ for this though, since it's about a full minute or two behind the MP3 streams. That's probably not the right amt. of echo.

Thu. 7/30/09 3:50pm From: north guinea hills

no problem, doug, i need to do something every now and then to keep me sane at work w/o coffe...

Thu. 7/30/09 3:50pm From: drooling

this is delicious

Thu. 7/30/09 3:50pm From: Chris

Don't seem to have the bandwidth here today, but I'll try that at home....

Thu. 7/30/09 3:51pm From: north guinea hills

it's perfect for the riley piece, as it loops about 5 times per minute....

Thu. 7/30/09 3:51pm From: Marshall Stacks

I have the original verison by the Harvey Averne Dozen but can't figure out which Terry Riley album it's on. I recall that many of his albums have similar names, and his Web site wasn't much help. Anyone have a label name & catalog number, say?

Thu. 7/30/09 3:52pm From: north guinea hills

You're Poppy Nogood.

Thu. 7/30/09 3:52pm From: Marshall Stacks

For "verison" read "venison."

Thu. 7/30/09 3:52pm From: BSI

getting tastier.... need a lobster-bib for this tune....

Thu. 7/30/09 3:54pm From: jeremy the listener

left channel forward -- right channel reverse?

Thu. 7/30/09 3:58pm From: DeemerDave

Methinks You're Nogood has gone on a bit too long. Michael Shelley would be horrified.

Thu. 7/30/09 3:59pm From: Cool Tool TIme

Righty tighty, lefty laggy.

Thu. 7/30/09 4:03pm From: Carmichael

Surf is absolutely up, Fabio!!! 2 more hours and I'm on a 2 week vacation.

And I AM going surfing!

Thu. 7/30/09 4:04pm From: pedrothepetrifiedpaedophileinprinceton

i cant beleive i never heard your no good before and ive heard bloody everything. wowie zowie bowie

Thu. 7/30/09 4:08pm From: Chris

Rocket USA would have been perfect coming out of the emergency broadcasting test.

Thu. 7/30/09 4:29pm From: Carmichael

Please update the playlist.

Thu. 7/30/09 4:29pm From: Cecile

Fabio, they should give you DVDs to give away, because I think I would win some...

Plastic People, yay!

Thu. 7/30/09 4:30pm From: esch oder anarchie!

What is Czechoslovakia?

Thu. 7/30/09 4:34pm From: Francisco Torres

The playlist is broken...

Thu. 7/30/09 4:34pm From: BSI

egad, I turn my back for one friggin' minute and I miss Plastic People....... sigh........ gotta haul the computer & headphones with me next time I.....uh....... "go"......

Thu. 7/30/09 4:34pm From: dustin

plastic people of the universe are a big part of the Communist Museum in Praque.. it's pretty fascinating if anyone is ever they're, i definitely reccomend it.

Thu. 7/30/09 4:35pm From: Marshall Stacks

Tom Stoppard's play Rock 'n' Roll involves the Czech rock scene circa 1968; the Plastics are mentioned quite a bit.

It's a good couple of hours of theater.

Thu. 7/30/09 4:38pm From: BSI

with the playlist in stasis, I must know: what track was it? Something from the Egon Bondy record I hope?

Thu. 7/30/09 4:51pm From: Cecile

no track as far as I know, the wonderful Fabio was just giving away tix to see them.

Thu. 7/30/09 4:53pm From: fabio

that is correct, just tix give away. I didn't play any Plastic People...

Thu. 7/30/09 4:58pm From: BSI

Whew!
I'll never remove the headphones again...

Thu. 7/30/09 5:02pm From: Carmichael

PPU has it's own chapter in Richie Unterberger's Unknown Legends of Rock N Roll.

Thu. 7/30/09 5:37pm From: Marshall Stacks

Did you play that in Trouble's honor?

Thu. 7/30/09 5:38pm From: nic

NO to YES_god that was horrible

Thu. 7/30/09 5:40pm From: Ike

Agreed, Nic! But the rest of the show has been GREAT.

Thu. 7/30/09 5:43pm From: Fabio

Come on you guys, lighten up! OKay Yes are hard to swallow, but that is a nice song...

Thu. 7/30/09 5:46pm From: north guinea hills

i dig yes. but that's just me....

oh, fabio, i went to tony conrad last week, but i had to wait for my gf to get out of work late. so, we took a cab and got there at 10 (usually, i've been there until 11ish). they had just finished. however, i did see aki onda there, and i hadn't seen him since last fall, so it wasn't all for nought.

thanks again.
