Listener comments!

  9:02am
annie:

good morning BW, hope you are feeling well this am!!
  9:13am
annie:

:(
  9:13am
stingy d:

you missed that fella mouthing "wm"
  9:14am
Mac:

Perfect NYC Story.
I had the same sort of experience back in 1979 while working at Screw Magazine.
  9:17am
bw:

what does wm mean? and what is the secret program? does anyone have an idea?
  9:18am
still b/p:

Bets on what this joker's "palace" is? A diner? An amusement park attraction? And I want someone to include "Flap those ears back, masher, and get lost!" in a good hip-hop track.
  9:20am
stingy d:

white men fold undies.
  9:23am
bw:

that is wmfu

heh

I had to write that out to get it!!!
  9:25am
bw:

come on - does anyone want to take a stab at what the secret program was?>???
  9:26am
stingy d:

this sunny day in glasgow stuff keeps being good. it sort of reminds me of the first time i heard slumber party.
  9:27am
stingy d:

oh- dude had a direct line to a tortue device. that's the most obvious, to me. he tortures people.
  9:34am
insight:

This comic strip will tease amusingly but will never really quite make the transition from G into PG territory, let alone R or X :-P
  9:36am
bw:

maybe I should have posted the porno popeye strip I accedently downloaded last night !~ yikes! bluto, wimpy, popeye all ganging up on olive oyl - had to delete it off my computer!
but insight - a little G wont kill you
  9:38am
insight:

i wanna see a pimp or a stripclub manager try to lure them in, they'd be slicker than this first dude and maybe get these two innocents into a tenser situation... lol
  9:40am
stingy d:

i'm all for some tense situation but that "lol" made me cringe
  9:42am
still b/p:

insight...you thinking about that high-heat gal who's already in the uniform at Pedro's, aintcha? The Deli in Miss Jones?
  9:55am
Lily Stark White:

oh darn, and I thought this was gonna be a cute burlesque strip!
  9:56am
spooklight pictures:

Debbie Does Dubai
Behind the Green Dune
Faster Pussycat! Keffiyeh! Keffiyeh!
Midnight Dhowboy
  9:56am
insight:

@stingy: yes, i've noticed that fussy can be a whole lifestyle sometimes -- add your own emoticon here

@still b/p: this strip is interesting -- 1950s tease that really has more of a 40s look to it. is it mean to root for befoulment? strip should lead to *strip* via poetic justice -- and btw (is btw on the approved list, stinge?) i know what "still b/p" means in psych notes -- is that what it means as a screen name?
  10:00am
still b/p:

still breathing/puzzled

what's the alt notion in notes?
  10:01am
insight:

NP: my sentiments precisely, in the first half of my prior comment!
  10:04am
insight:

i've seen "still b/p" as "still bingeing and purging" in psych notes. did not know still breathing and pulse -- thanks for the explanation...
  10:04am
bw:

spooklight!

now we are talking
you read the documents didn't you?
  10:05am
Lily Stark White:

ZOMBIE SOAP PROGRAM FOR THE WIN!!!!
  10:23am
bw:

link to les ephremes
http://www.lincolncenter.org/show_events_list.asp?eventcode=20739
  10:27am
bw:

I can never make the umlat button work - for spermull - speaking of umlats
did anyone see Bruno?
  10:27am
Parq:

I saw les Ephremes part one -- couldn't afford both after paying for all three Ponderosa Stomp shows. It was lovely.
  10:29am
bw:

parq

Parq!
I think part one is better - but the old lady perle has a nice piece in part two

what did you think of it?
  10:32am
annie:

bw, i got full reports from several very diff people. i guess it was a hoot. i'm sure i'll pass, as borat did not draw me in, either. the majority of the reviewers liked it though.
  10:33am
G:

in many situations where i can't get diacriticals to happen i type the diacritical in a Word doc or other place that supports characters beyond basic ASCII, then copypaste them -- that works in comments. -- ë
  10:35am
bw:

thanks G
  10:41am
Archie Bunker:

Who needs diacriticals?
We're Americans!
  10:43am
G:

Moët can be fun, Archie Babee
  10:46am
Rob W:

OK Benjamen, I'm adding this to my "covers" list...
  10:46am
Archie Bunker:

But I don't need to type no umlaats to buy it at the lika stoh.
  10:49am
G:

Go-fer-it, dude. Live and let crawl :-) You can also buy anything at a store without knowing how to read or write, period, but I've heard that illiteracy closes you out of a few jobs...
  10:51am
Cheney:

Ever wondered why my nickname is Dick?
  10:52am
Archie in the bunker:

Stifül yourself, Eva.
  10:55am
GP:

Hi
  10:55am
Parq:

I loved the idea in Ephremes of having each scene float through the theater as it's taking place. I noticed in the program that there's more Perle story in the second part. Do any of the other first-part stories continue? My Spaniard wife explained the scene with the Spanish couple on the beach - it seems that Spanish women once often worked as domestics in France, much as Latin-American women now do in the US.
  10:58am
bw:

rob
I was so sad I missed the show friday night - I saw many pics on line and julie S said it was a blast as well - but I was sick alas
  10:58am
Dave B in NYC:

@G - you can enter CHARMAP in windows Start > Run dialog to bring up a quick and dirty util that allows you to copy any/all extended characters in a font set
  10:59am
bw:

parq -
the m ain story line is the letter from the mom in the safe.. that takes up the bulk of part two
  11:01am
Michaelangelo:

How many have noticed the colors in the comic strip are only primary colors?
  11:01am
Häagen-Dazs:

Dön’t knöck rändöm ümläüts tĩll Ÿöü’vë trĩëd ’ëm—täkë ĩt fröm üs...
  11:04am
Parq:

Got five or ten minutes? Watch this totally engrossing web-video tribute to MJ. Gets better with each frame.

http://www.eternalmoonwalk.com/index.php
  11:05am
Parq:

Re Prefuse 73 frames, what's a two-way stretch?
  11:11am
trent:

this song is SO GOOD
  11:13am
stingy d:

did you call me fussy?
  11:15am
statue of limitations:

we already expired on that observation
  11:16am
Fussy:

No, I didn't, Stingy. I may call later this afternoon.
  11:16am
Later:

I won't be in. Leave a message on my machine.
  11:17am
insight:

lol, lmao
  11:18am
annie:

parq, you made my day with that link! wonderful!
  11:22am
stingy d:

ok i'll go back to sleep. instead of what... what are you doing? being at work?
  11:23am
dormouse:

  11:24am
GP:
