Mon. 6/8/09 7:00am From: Bradford Eugene LaBonte

Morning, Annie! I am quite bummed about leaving, believe me. Heading off to law school at Berkeley, so I might try my hand at KALX out there in order to keep my sanity.

Mon. 6/8/09 7:07am From: annie

law school isn't so bad, except it takes you to a totally diff life-style! berkeley and environs will perk you up, i think. consider kalx on my winamp, ready to tune you in. i have lots of family and friends in the bay area and cetera. bated breath.... one more show? good i shall tune in.. as it is, i'm here til the end today.

Mon. 6/8/09 7:19am From: annie

i think you should play "gimme that ding" , not yet, but sometime ....

Mon. 6/8/09 7:20am From: Adrian in London

So what sort of lawyer are you hoping to be? An evil corporate bod or an evil entertainment lawyer trying to shut down FMU? Was it Boston Legal that gave you the bug?!

Mon. 6/8/09 7:25am From: Bradford Eugene LaBonte

Different lifestyle, indeed! I'm stocking up on my shorts, sunglasses and laid-back vibes for the move. I'll keep y'all posted about future radio-ings. - next week's show is the last regular one, and I'll be in NYC until August, so I hopefully will be able to pop back on for a fill-in or two.

Adrian - I'm not sure yet, but I might not even have the choice to be evil: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/07/nyregion/07law.html?em

Helping people and stuff might be the wise business decision!

Mon. 6/8/09 7:32am From: annie

i subscribe to the indybay rss feed, great left-coast news and info regarding political action and the arts. i'd love to see the lawyers gang up against monsanto, but a great majority of them are already bought and sold by that monster.

Mon. 6/8/09 7:34am From: Adrian in London

Helping people is always the best policy.

Mon. 6/8/09 7:38am From: annie

bradford!!! wonderful!

Mon. 6/8/09 7:42am From: Adrian in London

By the way, thanks for playing Where's the Playground Susie last week. I'd never heard it before and it blew me away.

Mon. 6/8/09 7:45am From: Parq

Bradley, Boalt Hall ain't chicken feed, so you must have some pretty good creds. It's too early in the AM for eloquence, so for now I'll just say good luck and miss ya.

Mon. 6/8/09 8:02am From: Bradford Eugene LaBonte

Thanks, all! Adrian - that track is crazy, probably my favorite over-the-top track of all time. He's just so earnest about that playground.

So, so far, my options are: evil corporate, evil entertainment lawyer that shuts down FMU, mob lawyer, or guy that helps people. Any other suggestions?

Mon. 6/8/09 8:11am From: Parq

Government work. Get in with the right agency and you can do good *and* get more days off than any of your friends.

Mon. 6/8/09 8:14am From: Tom

You could always go my route and be a mediator. No, it's technically not practicing law, but you'll actually help people more... and judges will give you cases because you're a lawyer. Feel free to e-mail me.

Mon. 6/8/09 8:17am From: annie

are you collecting emails so we might be alerted to your next gig?

Mon. 6/8/09 8:19am From: Tom

Noooooooooo!!!!! Sleep is evil!

Mon. 6/8/09 8:27am From: Bradford Eugene LaBonte

Thanks so much, Tom.

Sleep IS evil, but the fun is in the struggle!

Annie, I can see e-mail addresses if folks have entered into the field and can send out an e-mail, but the easiest way to keep abreast would be the Facebook/Twitter route - facebook is m'name, Brad LaBonte, and I JUST joined Twitter a week or so ago - twitter.com/bradlabonte.

Mon. 6/8/09 8:30am From: annie

consider yourself friended.

Mon. 6/8/09 8:58am From: David

NIce transition there from Dolly.

Mon. 6/8/09 9:00am From: Bradford Eugene LaBonte
