Thu. 6/4/09 12:06pm From: Carmichael

Good morning Scott and fellow audiophiles. I think the 8 track is stuck between channels.

Thu. 6/4/09 12:08pm From: doug from dc

Thu. 6/4/09 12:14pm From: Oneida

You know that New York State law about car alarms not being allowed to run more than 15 minutes?

SCREW THAT, MAN

Thu. 6/4/09 12:15pm From: dc pat

15 minutes? is that true? should be 15 seconds...

Thu. 6/4/09 12:15pm From: Parq

Digging this Goat Lips. Welcome back, Freiw. Yeah, Barca's a tough place to leave.

Thu. 6/4/09 12:16pm From: stingy d

i'm around... no more day job/desk job. so it keeps me off the internet and the streets. causin trouble

Thu. 6/4/09 12:17pm From: Parq

Then again, Ken had to leave Barca, then leave Paris, *then* touch down on Monty Place. Now that's harsh.

Thu. 6/4/09 12:17pm From: stingy d

IN IN

welcome back scott, let me know if and when you're ready for more volunteer days

Thu. 6/4/09 12:18pm From: AnAnonymousPary

What a great ring tone this would make.

Thu. 6/4/09 12:19pm From: Nat

ZAPPA IS THE GREATEST MUSICIAN WHO EVER LIVED.

Thu. 6/4/09 12:19pm From: Bad Ronald

Hey, Kenny G played a live version of this Mothers tune yesterday!

Thu. 6/4/09 12:21pm From: Scott

Oh, stop that Nat. Tho I do love to hear from you - how'd your Ken fillin go last week?

Thu. 6/4/09 12:22pm From: Uncle Meat

Why go to lunch when you can listen to Scott W's show and enjoy a nice warm bottle of pork dumpling juice. http://www.dinnerinabottle.com/juicy-bbq-pork-dumpling

Thu. 6/4/09 12:25pm From: Marshall Stacks

Kenny G played a King Kong bootleg yesterday, an MP3 that skipped.
Say what?

Thu. 6/4/09 12:27pm From: Nat

Fill in went well, so fun - looking forward to getting on the air more.

I'll come in to volunteer soon - how's next friday sound?

Thu. 6/4/09 12:27pm From: Scott

Nat - tomorrow? Tomorrow looks great; Stingy, 'bout you?

Thu. 6/4/09 12:29pm From: Carmichael

I would if I could. But I can't, so I sha'nt.

Thu. 6/4/09 12:32pm From: dc pat

fmu/mfu should open a dc office--it'd be filled with volunteers.

Thu. 6/4/09 12:32pm From: Nat

Oh. Today's thursday. Not friday. Damn, get it together, Nat. I mean the next one after that, the 12th.

I'm very stingy about you, Scott.

Thu. 6/4/09 12:34pm From: Scott

Cool, next Friday prolly - email me.

Thu. 6/4/09 12:44pm From: Carmichael

Thu. 6/4/09 12:44pm From: stingy d

Thu. 6/4/09 12:47pm From: Nat

Cool. I'll try to drag ol' Jared along as well.

Thu. 6/4/09 12:49pm From: Parq

Barca clearly inspired you, Scott. That was an oustanding first set.

Thu. 6/4/09 12:53pm From: PMD

I had a German sausage taken from me once.
You'll learn to not declare someday. ... 'Oh, I forgot it'

Thu. 6/4/09 12:54pm From: Carmichael

Is this Liberace? It's so moody and conversation-inspiring.

I work with an Iranian guy who forgot to declare a set of steak knives. Imagine his surprise...

Thu. 6/4/09 1:06pm From: Scott

PMD, that was exactly my initial plan - even better b/c my wife left 3 days b4 me, so I was gonna be all "ohhh, I thought my wife brought all the gifts back , whoops!" Well, I learned my lesson. If anyone's interested to know, the sausage sniffing dog is actually an adorable little terrier. Not that he was needed, I willingly surrendered my sausage, didn't wanna make a fuss

Thu. 6/4/09 1:09pm From: J-Mar

well, at least you didn't have any weed stashed inside the sausage...

Thu. 6/4/09 1:10pm From: Cecile

what kind of terrier, Scott?
They often use beagles for food contraband searches in airports.

Thu. 6/4/09 1:12pm From: PMD

One time they were inspecting my bags and a lady agent said she needed to pat down my legs. The guy agent looks down and says, no that's just her calves. Which they were. I got cow calves.

Thu. 6/4/09 1:12pm From: dc pat

..or sausages stashed in your weed...

Thu. 6/4/09 1:14pm From: stingy d

cecile, this is the dog-culprit right here....

Thu. 6/4/09 1:20pm From: Carmichael

Thu. 6/4/09 1:23pm From: stingy d

Thu. 6/4/09 1:35pm From: slug bait

you missed my inner essence

Thu. 6/4/09 1:36pm From: Customs Dude

This sausage is yummy!

Thu. 6/4/09 1:38pm From: maria L

Hey welcome back Scott!!

Thu. 6/4/09 1:38pm From: Carmichael

Good Lord, it's Annisette. And, although I enjoyed nearly all of Primivera, I found Ponytail to be unlistenable. My favorite was Dead Meadow.

Thu. 6/4/09 1:41pm From: dale

excellent set! this murk and despair is making me hungry for the Birthday Party.

Thu. 6/4/09 1:46pm From: Parq

Sunn O))) was really cool, altho I understand that they're incredibly loud, so I don't know that I got the full effect on a Bose tabletop. I didn't really care for Ponytail either, but I'll give them points for trying.

Thu. 6/4/09 1:48pm From: Carmichael

Thanks to Uncle Meat, I am going to lunch where they serve BBQ Pork dumplings.

Thu. 6/4/09 1:49pm From: BSI

FOR THE LOVE OF GAWD, DON'T GO IN THE SHED!

Thu. 6/4/09 1:49pm From: Bose

Just crank me.

Thu. 6/4/09 1:49pm From: Marshall Stacks

def. Shed: tiny small house.

Thu. 6/4/09 1:49pm From: Ike

Welcome to Scott's tiny small house of sound! It's a lovely, murky place. Just open that door.

Thu. 6/4/09 1:50pm From: Parq

The entire nation of Belgium came to your house??

Thu. 6/4/09 1:50pm From: holland oats

anyone w scott's address and a van please email me asap

Thu. 6/4/09 1:51pm From: dc pat

typical Belgians..don't know what a shed is..sheesh..all they can do is make beer...

Thu. 6/4/09 1:51pm From: Wife, neighbors etc.

Bose? Um, no.

Thu. 6/4/09 1:52pm From: Art Smass

"Shed" means something different in Phlegmish.

Thu. 6/4/09 1:53pm From: Bismarck

The less the people know about how sausages and laws are made, the better they sleep at night.

Thu. 6/4/09 1:54pm From: Bose

Partypoopers. {huff}

See this "Born to Crank" tatt on my ass?

Thu. 6/4/09 1:56pm From: Ike

Woody is doing another fill-in on Monday eh? All right! I look forward to that.

Thu. 6/4/09 2:01pm From: BSI

...anybody ever witness your dog dreaming with eyes open?

Thu. 6/4/09 2:02pm From: Parq

That's it -- I'm changing the name of my autobiography to "See this 'Born to Crank' tatt on my ass?"

Scott, great slide show. This NJ expat just loved the "Home again, Central Jersey" shot.

Thu. 6/4/09 2:07pm From: Bad Ronald

Sweet Neil Young tune!

Yeah BSI, and they get all twitchy.

btw - This vid is pretty cool:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbgFKB7u4n8

Thu. 6/4/09 2:10pm From: Cecile

Parq, I think the title of your autobiography should be called "The Man Who Changed The Title of His Autobiography Every Five Minutes."

;D

Thu. 6/4/09 2:11pm From: doug from dc

So David Carradine snatched the pebble. "Found dead in a Bangkok hotel room," now there's an obit for you.

Thu. 6/4/09 2:25pm From: dc pat

I'll just bet Grasshopper had a "pre-existing heart condition."

Thu. 6/4/09 2:26pm From: boo

he had a pre-existing rope around the neck condition

Thu. 6/4/09 2:29pm From: Parq

Master: You must never venture to the city of Bangkok, Grasshopper, for doom is written on the brow of the dark stranger who emerges from that dark place.

Kwai Chang: Uh-huh. Listen, could we hurry this up, I got tickets to a David Crosby concert tonight.

Thu. 6/4/09 2:31pm From: doug from dc

The master musicians have loads of talent.

Thu. 6/4/09 2:32pm From: Bad Ronald

Master Musicians of Bukkake is one of the best band names I've heard in a while.

Thu. 6/4/09 2:32pm From: Art Smass

He'll be attending the Michael Hutchence show instead.

Thu. 6/4/09 2:33pm From: Marshall Stacks

Good one, doug from dc.

Thu. 6/4/09 2:34pm From: Hatch

"Found naked and dead in a Bangkok hotel room," even better.

But seriously... the guy was in Q: The Winged Serpent! Show some respect!!!

Thu. 6/4/09 2:35pm From: doug from dc

It sounds kind of suspicious. I'd be more inclined to believe it was suicide if the rope was just around his neck, but the article says "neck and body." Foul play?

Thu. 6/4/09 2:37pm From: dc pat

hey, I just found out that Jimi Hendrix was killed by his manager...

Thu. 6/4/09 2:37pm From: doug from dc

Or autoerotic asphyxiation?

Thu. 6/4/09 2:38pm From: Bernie Taupin

All the papers had to say
Was that Carradine was found
In the nude

Thu. 6/4/09 2:40pm From: Tim Rice

One night in Bangkok
Left an old man strangled

Thu. 6/4/09 2:40pm From: John Cale

Kevin Ayers screwed y wife, did it quick and split!

Thu. 6/4/09 2:41pm From: Phil Spector

HA!!!!! can't blame me, neener neener

Thu. 6/4/09 2:42pm From: BSI

BadRonald: thanks. I thought I was going insane. Or at least hallucinating my ass off while my dog was having an Eraserhead-worthy siezure. Very weird.

Thu. 6/4/09 2:42pm From: Thai Sexworker
