A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Loretta Lynn carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

  Thu. 5/14/09 9:03am fishmonkeystew:

TROUBLE! This is my very favorite Can tune! Except for maybe Mother Upduff. You've just greatly improved my otherwise turbulent morning. Rock on.
  Thu. 5/14/09 9:03am What!:

Yea Can! Thank God it's...oh...thursday.
  Thu. 5/14/09 9:05am George Eliot:

  Thu. 5/14/09 9:25am BSI:

Today promises to be a hurricane of activity.
Starting off with a bathtub of iced coffee and a dose of Trouble.
It's a total groove so far...
  Thu. 5/14/09 9:27am Vivian:

Morning all! Thank you for last week's flick requests. Ultimately, I rented Happy Go Lucky and Bad Education. Happy was very uplifting whereas Bad Education gave good plot twists. I plan to watch Dead Man either this weekend or next.
  Thu. 5/14/09 9:29am George Eliot:

very intense movie, yet worth the time and effort.
  Thu. 5/14/09 9:30am Cecile:

good morning seattle, and everyone else far and wide.
  Thu. 5/14/09 9:40am still b/p:

"Yeah, when they start givin' away lavash at the post office," has long been familiar in the "when hell freezes over" and "when pigs fly" family of expressions emphasizing scoffy non-expectation...and now look. And me and Satchmo think to ourselves, what a...
  Thu. 5/14/09 9:41am Cecile:

  Thu. 5/14/09 9:49am dale:

I can totally hear Scott Walker singing this circa 1969.
  Thu. 5/14/09 9:49am chris:

gotcha
  Thu. 5/14/09 9:55am Rob W:

Hey Lynn, great track - trad Mor Lam blended with rock - but ya got it backyards. The artist is "Meas Samoun", not the title! According to farsidemusic.com: "Meas Samoun is Cambodia's first comic singer. His songs would often feature a character in comical situations."
  Thu. 5/14/09 9:56am Rob W:

Oops - of course Trouble there is nobody in the building named "Lynn" at the moment - must've had a brain cramp...
  Thu. 5/14/09 9:57am Devin:

My favorite cycling movie ever...
  Thu. 5/14/09 9:57am chris:

  Thu. 5/14/09 10:00am Devin:

Anyone here following the Giro?
  Thu. 5/14/09 10:00am Pieter:

Good Morning all !
  Thu. 5/14/09 10:09am Joe:

Hey, Trouble--If you're a Netflixer, you can get "Sleepwalking Through the Mekong" on DVD. It's a really great doc of the band going to Cambodia to play shows and meet musicians. Recommended!
  Thu. 5/14/09 10:09am still b/p:

Here's crazy talk: Can the playlist layout be time-stamped at all, even just at the half-hour, so finding particular tracks is a little easier in a later re-listen?
  Thu. 5/14/09 10:11am tombom:

it already is? check the past playlists. unless you mean something else, although i'm not sure what
  Thu. 5/14/09 10:16am trouble:

still b/p: the playlists (if a dj does time stamping) all start at zero and proceed numerically up. So do the half hour addition and that will get the area you are looking for.
  Thu. 5/14/09 10:16am stingy d:

elfin saddle eh? this is nice tho. hi trouble! and everybodies else.
  Thu. 5/14/09 10:17am still b/p:

YES, thanks, crazy is as crazy does. I remembered a search in a list without that sometime earlier, but now there it is in the archives, a blessing...like lavash at the post office.
  Thu. 5/14/09 10:21am George Eliot:
