Eight marathons! WHOOOOO!
  10:14pm
Greg from Detroit:

Yes! Give us more bells!
  10:30pm
Jim:

First time I ever saw Roland Kirk perform was this 1975 Soundstage broadcast: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0JJmwq7KXQ. For some reason I never have understood, my high school's library subscribed to *Down Beat*.

Ike:

Aw, I was hoping the whole premium would be stuff that drives my cats crazy. But I'm getting it anyway.
  10:44pm
Ken:

Scott or Bethany - What's the station total at right now, as of 10pm? Want to update the homepage.
  10:47pm
Bethany:

Ken - we just hit the half-way mark of the marathon! Next mic break we'll make it official!
  10:48pm
stingy d:

i bought a bike to'day. it beat me up pretty good. my crutch is hurtin.
  10:49pm
stingy d:

basketball!!! my favroitest! my namesake references it!
  10:55pm
stingy d:

two things:
1 - is that scott williams?
2 - how much does it cost to be a part of the book?
  10:58pm
G:

Symmetry! Halfway done timewise, halfway done moneywise. Very aesthetic!
  11:03pm
Another Marathon Veteran:

G, no, actually not halfway done time-wise. More than halfway. I'm not sure I can explain it very well. It involves the Orthodox Jews and Purim....
  11:15pm
G:

OK, ergo only superficially aesthetic -- what else is new, though, in the world of aesthetics? (add your own emoticon here).

Yes, the Jewish morning show's whole "pledge fortnight" was pushed back a week because Purim starts Monday night --

so timewise the end of seven days is actually 50% + 3/24 ( = 1/8) of 50% = 56.25% (add "nerd" ASCII art nerd)...
  11:16pm
Ish Kabibble:

Yeah, the truth is that we really need to pick up the pace to meet the goal. JM in the AM finished with $250K, which subtracted from $600K leaves $350K non-JM for the week. If that pace continues, the final total will be $950K.
  11:21pm
brandon not brenden:

what was that western movie theme song?
  11:23pm
brandon not brenden:

why is JM in the AM the only show that announces the amount each person pledges?
  11:31pm
Jonathan:

Regarding Bottle Rocket, my cat's name is Dignan (and he frequently freaks out during the Stochastic Hit Parade)
  11:42pm
G:

Ish K. sounds like he's been talking to Ken...

Someone Weds. said Tom sucked in 60 K on Tuesday, so that means the other 150 hours in week one (168 minus 15 JM minus 3 Tom) netted 290 K, about 2K /hr.

To make 600 K in the remaining 168 hours, the math is 3.5 K/hr. So Ish knoweth whereof he speaketh...

Get pledging peepz! (I'm a Mouse already...)

Hi Bethany, congratulations on 8 years doing SHP. I'll have to forego the chance for your CD but will be quite happy to be sporting that very sweet-looking WooFMoU shirt. Keep up the free form wild and crazy shenanistuff.
  11:48pm
john:

Oh, it totally wasn't a dig. I only said how great Bottle Rocket was, not how Rushmore might be the most overrated movie of the last 300 years. Possibly 400. And I won't say that.
  11:50pm
Ike:

Wish I could've been there! Had to work. Ironically my boss hasn't sent me the files yet.

Bethany, back in 2002 or whenever, I was trying to assure you that it was no big deal if you couldn't raise a lot, b/c nobody ever expected much in this slot -- it's traditionally the least-listened-to non-overnight on most radio stations, I think. And then you made those phones go haywire! I was amazed!
  11:58pm
richard:

Whoops, I didn't know the grand prize was more than just that CD. Yikes, a lot more!
