Tonyc:

Hello all. Tony Coulter here, with co-host Rich.

Here's the scoop: Pledges of at least $15 get you in on drawings for prizes, and pledges of $75 or more get you my premium -- and also make you eligible for the grand prize, which we'll draw for at the end of the hour.

fella:

hello... i'm confused a little, i did this mouse today thing and suppose i pledge for your show now... does that count into my initial pledge? so mathematically... am i paying a minimum of 380 to qualify for you raffle or still 365; but i pay 15 instantly?
  7:24pm
fella:

cus more than anything i want delta 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7:25pm
marathon veteran:

Fella, if you did your mouse thing on line *and also* checked "prize account", then you may do as you suggest. If not, then no.
  7:26pm
Robert Goodman:

That version of "Satisfaction" was waaaay better listening than the original in the singing and the rest of the music as well.
  7:28pm
stingy d:

yesssssSSS!!!
  7:31pm
texas scott:

hey fella, pledge as many times as you wish!
  7:32pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Robert Goodman, I agree with you! In fact, I prefer pretty much all covers of "Satisfaction" over the original. Don't get me wrong, I love the rolling stones, but not that song when they do it. go figure! :-)
  7:33pm
stingy d:

i'm a big fan of "paint it black" covers. delta 5 reminds of this great mo-dettes version. i like this sort of jazz.
  7:35pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Yeah, Stingy D, this is a great song - love the sound. I've never heard of Delta 5. I always learn something good on Tony's show!
  7:36pm
stingy d:

first time i heard delta 5 was a song called "mind your own business"... and i was instantly a big fan
  7:37pm
Kay:

I dread the day when I have to say "now that you're gone" regarding Tony C. days at WFMU...
  7:37pm
stingy d:

YEESSSSSsSSSSSS!!!!!!
  7:37pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Stingy, you won! That's awesome! Unless of course there's another Stingy listening...
  7:39pm
Ike the Phone Slave:

I agree about "Satisfaction" covers.

Pledge now at 1-800-989-9368 and Janna or that hippie DJ Hatch will take your pledge! Or me. Also, if anybody wants Franc O.'s African music premium, they can specify that instead. Or pledge $150 and get both Tony's and Franc's premiums!
  7:39pm
stingy d:

i'd like to think i'm unique. i'm really excited! thanks tony! thanks frank?!
  7:41pm
stingy d:

hey wendy you might like the mo-dettes also... they might strike the right chord with you too. they are more guitarry and less bassy but very good and they have a similar stand offish attitude - if you ask me.
  7:45pm
Kay:

Loving this Mariah by GYPSY - woooooooooooooo!
  7:45pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

As a person who tested as half-introvert, half-extrovert on the Myers-Briggs Test, I'm all about stand-offish! Or maybe I'm half about stand-offish. haha. thanks for the recommendation, Stingy.
  7:45pm
kme in chi:

ay yay yay
  7:53pm
stingy d:

grand prize sounds killer... i'm tempted
  7:58pm
stingy d:

every time i hear that screechy sound on the talk over music i think its my stomach
  8:01pm
Kay:

Grand Prize - Wooo hoooo!!!
Tony leaving WFMU - Boooo hoooo....
