These days it just sucks in general
  3:11pm
Lizardner Dave:

Hey everyone, time to get our own thing that has only a tangential relationship to the show going? So, who wants punch and pie?
  3:12pm
AnAnonymousParty:

Depends on what's in the punch.
  3:13pm
Parq:

Knock knock
  3:14pm
AnAnonymousParty:

Parq, switching to a higher octane can stop that knocking.
  3:16pm
Lizardner Dave:

Or you can buy a fuel injector cleaner....at Wal Mart! Easter time, Easter time....
  3:16pm
still b/p:

Woo hoo's there?
  3:16pm
Parq:

Actually, it was a badly expressed Curly Howard impression. I just now remembered that most people spell it "Nyuk Nyuk".
  3:18pm
Lizardner Dave:

Think the response here is aaaahng aaahng aaaahngg...is that spelled right?
  3:21pm
cribley:

This is great. More Jimmy Mitchell!
  3:21pm
AnAnonymousParty:

Sounds like Heywood Banks singing 'Mack the Knife' there.
  3:26pm
cribley:

Disregard that request for J Mitchell.. I filled up in the blog.

Irwin, I would like to congratulate you on being the pre-eminent Mad Daddies fan of WFMU. I believe you may have qualified for a recognition dinner.

  3:36pm
jan:

cows! wow, I just received my new wfmu COW/DOG t shirt. what syncronicity!
  3:40pm
Fussy:

I'm fairly sure there's an 'h' in synchronicity, Jan. Hope that's helpful.
  3:40pm
AnAnonymousParty:

I remember as a little kid going trick-or-treating and seeing all the dead cows hung on nails on the sides of houses. Folks would decorate them for Christmas.
  3:41pm
jan:

yahh, it looked funny to me, after I typed it out, but there is no spell check on this message board. Thanks for the fussy attention.
  3:42pm
Bad Ronald:

They crucify cows in Utah?
  3:44pm
Cecile:

I am appealing to the AccuPrayList to answer my plea for some Snakefinger.
  3:44pm
AnAnonymousParty:

You gotta remember it's Utah and not Hoboken where they got radio and Theater and all that fancy big city crap, not much else to do but revolve you life around coes.
  3:45pm
Parq:

Call my agent. I'm changing the name of the movie to "They Crucify Cows in Utah".
  3:50pm
Cecile:

they have the Jazz and the Sundance Festival...
  3:51pm
BSI:

Thanks for the SF SORROW -- that's one of the ten best albums of all time, says me.
  3:52pm
Cecile:

says me too.
  3:55pm
Cow:

sez teh moo!
  3:55pm
Sean Daily:

Not even close to first comment! Woo hoo!
  3:56pm
AnAnonymousParty:

No Sundance before refrigeration, no way to keep the wine cool. Wasn't until they started putting the dead cows inside the home that culture came a knockin'.

I thought a runcible spoon was like a combination of a spoon and a fork -- ie a spoon with tines at the end.

  4:07pm
dan in falls church VA:

hey, maybe it was a typo, and Lear meant to say "rinsable".
That makes sense, right, "rinsable spoon"? i mean, you wouldn't want an *unrinsable* spoon! hey, what does "S.F." in "S.F. Sorrow" stand for, anyway?

I still say SPORK
  4:16pm
annie:

it's what i thought of when i saw that definition... runcible sounds eccentric.. i prefer that but try using it at wendy's!
  4:19pm
BSI:

I prefer to eat my Sea Kittens with a runcible spoon.

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=99249669
  4:19pm
Parq:

I agree with DCE; the dictionary definition of "runcible spoon" (qv) inevitably calls to mind what we now call a spork , BUT - a spork is usually plastic and used with fast food, whereas the original piece of silverware had a specific function -- "for serving hors d'oeuvres."
  4:21pm
AnAnonynousParty:

How about gimme a runcible shizzle fo-zizzle?
  4:21pm
Jimmy Safechuck:

Jimmy Mitchell is genuinely, post-ironically, great.
  4:28pm
jan:

Jimmy Mitchell, I thought you wanted to play more Joni Mitchell.
Request for parking lot!
  4:31pm
Sean Daily:

Aw, BSI, do not eat sea kittens. They're cute and they're furry and they're warm and they purr and they yowl for their food and they can't decide which side of the door they want to be on and they throw up any old place that they want and they shred your furniture and...

On second thought, go ahead. Eat your sea kittens.
  4:34pm
Parq:

LOLseacats - I can haz planktin?

  4:54pm
Sean Daily:

  4:54pm
Cecile:

  4:56pm
DJ Keili:

Beastin' The Airwaves! will definitely be playing The Cramps this weekend!
  4:56pm

NME says it's Brian Gregory, not Lux.

Irwin, if you have it, could you play Cannibal Corpse's cover of "The Sound of Music"?
  4:57pm
Parq:

Lo siento, that's "Bryan".
  4:58pm
slugluv1313:

Brian Gregory passed away some years ago, cannot seem to find any news about Lux though -- ????
  4:58pm
Cecile:

oh, Bryan Gregory. He was on a couple of good ones.
  4:59pm
Jimmy Safechuck:

Not Bryan Gregory. Check the article date - that was 2001.
  4:59pm
Cecile:

OK who is dead from the Cramps?
  4:59pm
Keili:

And it's OK if you don't enjoy The Cramps Irwin.
  5:00pm
Irwin:

I think Lux faked his death to get airplay.
  5:01pm
Sean Daily:

Yes, it's Songsmith: The Cheap Casio Keyboard for a New Millennium.
  5:02pm
AnANonymousParty:

Hey, that's not Pat Boone!
  5:03pm

Is Songsmith like Mac's Garage Band?

That's okay, Irwin. Give in to the voices, the hideous hideous voices for a while. We understand.

Or, at least, I UNDERSTAND.
  5:10pm
Robert1014:

I can't find anything on the web to corroborate that Lux Interior has died. In fact, his MySpace page shows last logged in "Feb. 04, 2009," which is, uh, TODAY.

I've seen the Cramps live six times and they've always been awesome...a wonderful act. I hope reports of Lux's death are in error.
  5:12pm
Cecile:

ok, this is the first time I've heard "Chocolate Rain".

I'm disappointed. I thought it would be a lot weirder.
  5:13pm
Parq:

There must be some computer-enabled way to have the Chocsmith Rain guy duet with the guy who sings "Montreal Canada Blues".
  5:13pm

THANK YOU! Verklemmt!
