Great show. I am sitting at home in cold vast remote West Texas trying to write a monologue by Captain Ahab on the subject of scrimshaw. For some reason tonight's show is proving to be inspirational. Sunday nights on the station are always inspirational

Bad Ronald:

It's true how a good piece of music can evoke emotions. I was listening to "Ode to Billy Joe" today and was in tears by the end of the tune!
  8:12pm
Jeff M:

I was treated to an Engelbert Humperdinck concert at the then-new Lakeland Civic Center in Lakeland, FL by my grandmother sometime in the late '70s or early '80s. I omitted the tempting ironic quotes around "treated" in the previous sentence because I was kind of a weird kid, and didn't actually mind going.
