  12:06pm nyc:

Yes, more KK!
  12:10pm Sean Daily:

Second comment! Woo hoo!
  12:11pm Cecile:

yah, black hollies!
  12:23pm Rubble:

Hmm...this reminds me...Did the latest SNB ever come out?
  12:24pm Joe B:

Not yet Rubble. I'm holding out hope!
  12:24pm jd:

thanks for the Pierced Arrows play, King Khan/Shrines too. My band Rise Up Howling Werewolf (www.myspace.com/riseuphowlingwerewolf) played with him and BBQ Show about two weeks ago in Birmingham, AL.
  12:26pm Carmichael:

JD, I really like King Khan. He may be insane.
  12:30pm jd:

Nah, great guy. He and the Shrines came to Huntsville this past summer. Great show. I'm from Muscle Shoals, AL, so I'm really digging the horns on the record, but the live show is definitely where it's at. It was great.
  12:32pm Rubble:

tributes are celebrations....these people gave us music that makes us smile. Tribs are a good thing. :)
  1:02pm Rubble:

I agree...It is not a bad trend at all.. unfortunately I think it might be over. 8)
  1:04pm Kyle:

WFMU is what I'm tuned to
  1:05pm Kyle:

To all people that post on playlists... do you listen online, making it easier to access the play lists, or do you listen on the radio?
  1:06pm Cecile:

I can't listen to the radio, I'm about 1200 miles away.
  1:07pm JD:

I'm actually listening on iTunes and watching the playlist here.
  1:07pm annie:

i listen on-line for both perks
  1:14pm Cecile:

I'm digging this Golden Dawn stuff - is it relatively easy to find?
  1:15pm Joe B:

Cecile - Two CDs are on Collectibles, which is usually a reissue label. One is on Dionysus but I've seen in every bargain bin in the country. So maybe someone is selling cheap on amazon or something.
  1:17pm Ilde Rich:

vocalist mark smith is always ripping new cdr's of the collectables stuff
  1:18pm Cecile:

thanks!
This guy totally kicks that Hold Steady guy's ass in the snotty, sharp singer department.

thanks, Rich!
  1:21pm Joe B:

There's also a post-Smitreski CD on Get Hip (from 2002 or 03?) that has Brother JT returning to the lineup (he's on the debut - Standing at the Gates of Time as well.
  1:23pm Cecile:

never knew JT was in that band!
  1:26pm Idle Rich:

yep, three of the sins spwaned from the creatures... on the 7" i have, it looks like jt's hiding behind the price tag
  1:28pm Rubble:

Kyle.. when listening at work, I listen online. when at home, I listen on the radio, even if I am following the playlist.
  1:46pm annie:

i literally dropped what i was doing and heard this voice.. this golden voice... i have to stop work now.. listen to this voice.. aaaahhhhh
  1:46pm Kyle:

Thank you for your answers.
  1:53pm GP:

Kyle,
Listening at work. Streaming for Windows is the only feed I can get past our IT police. I also live too far away to get a signal...deep in the South...ya'll.
  1:55pm JD:

Where are you from GP?
  1:57pm GP:

Deep in the heart o' Texas. I guess that is actually more southwesterly.
  1:59pm JD:

Excellent, I'm a southerner myself from Alabama. Also out of WFMU's signal reach.
  2:03pm bzul:

Listening at work online from 300 miles away.
Route of discovery: about 2 years ago a Beware of the Blog entry came up in a search for info on The Real Tuesday Weld's Bathtime in Clerkenwell.

At home over the weekend, I ran a line from computer through stereo -- first time for FMU in my living room. Will repeat this therapy as necessary.
  2:07pm ?:

I live in Manhattan, I can't tune it in there. I stream from where eva!
  2:09pm Bad Ronald:

I know, hopefully the new booster antenna will remedy that!
  2:10pm Joe B:

The return of Bad Ronald!
  2:12pm Bad Ronald:

Hey Joe, passively listening today. Great show so far. Loved the tributes!

Did you get a chance to listen to The Fireman? Terre played a track on Sat.
  2:13pm ?:

but i dont' think i even have a radio anymore!!

I'm Amish
  2:13pm ?:

but i dont' think i even have a radio anymore!!

I'm Amish
  2:13pm Joe B:

No, I have to get it.
  2:16pm Joe B:

In lieu of the Fireman, here's People Like Us!
  2:16pm Bad Ronald:

Sounds good to me! Rock on!
  2:20pm Bad Ronald:

I found this record on the street in front of my apt. building last night:
http://tinyurl.com/edrudy
  2:21pm bzul:

?: Sting sung about ye: You're an Amishman in New York...
  2:31pm GP:

Joe,
Great Brimstone song...
Bad Ron. is that you selling that on Ebay..or you found one just like it? Maybe your band can cover the album!
  2:36pm Bad Ronald:

That's a good suggestion GP.

Not me on ebay. After I found it I googled it out of curiosity and that's what came up.
  2:37pm David Shortell:

Wasn't Bob Brainen in the Breetles, as well?
  2:39pm Joe B:

David, he is on this disc. Credited with acoustic guitar, bass, vocals
  2:54pm Bad Ronald:

Gotta love Alejandro!
  3:04pm Rubble:

Good show Joe!
  4:35pm Al:

A very nice tribute to the Zenmaster Mike Smitreski. I worked with Mike for over ten years here at Lehigh University and was with him when he passed from this world. I’m sure if he has an Internet connection wherever he is now, he was listening to the live stream. We will never forget him. He will live on in our harts. Rest in peace my friend. Thanks Joe…
  5:01pm Sandra McCarthy:

Joe, Thanks for the nice tribute to Mike. I was a collaborator on Mike's "Shadestream" solo project. We had a hard time getting any work done, because we were so busy laughing. What a great memory to hold on to.

Mike was a kind and loyal friend and I know the Cryptic Zen Master is smiling from the celestial sky.
  8:38pm ?:

THANKS FOR THE GREAT SHOW!!!
BOB
