  12:09pm
Cecile:

I think Opeth must have a copy of this record as scratchy as this one.

Hee, good call GP.
  12:10pm
Cecile:

They did just admit two of the Vikings' favorite dogs, the Icelandic Shepherd, and the Norwebian Buhund into the American Kennel Club. Whee!
  12:11pm
scott ( not the dj):

now I understand Spinal Taps early influences
  12:12pm
GP:

Cecile:
Speaking of dogs here is one that weighs in at nearly 280lbs!
http://tiny.cc/R0ttO
  12:15pm
Ike:

I can't decide if this opening track is absurdly pretentious, or staggeringly epic, or both. Probably both.
  12:16pm
Joe:

It's staggeringly dope tits, is what it is.
  12:17pm
GP:

I have an itching desire to drive around in a 70's era van preferably with the logo "Van-dal" airbrushed on the side, blasting this Steamhammer from the 8-track. Jack Blacks van in school of rock fits the bill nicely.
  12:17pm
hazmania:

don't forget the Swedish Vallhund (Viking Dog) www.osafin.com.
  12:18pm
Cecile:

we love the vallhund! It is viking brother to the Corgi!

  12:24pm
dc pat:

I second stingy
  12:24pm
Joe:

Aw man, I'd love to, but I'll be unavailable. :-(

However, I'd like to go back and edit the T word out of my previous comment. A misogynist, not I, sir.

I second the Stingy nomination.
  12:25pm
Cecile:

we all got 'em, Joe.
No shame in that, especially as a expression of delightfulness.
  12:26pm
stingy d:

  12:30pm

  12:36pm
stingy d:

  12:36pm
Cecile:

scott:

  12:47pm
Bad Ronald:

Yeah, fond memories. Learned a trick or two there myself...
  12:48pm
Hugo:

Dunno, really. By the time we got together, it had grown up. My wife harbours a wish for a Newfoundlander which I think is too much of a good thing. But they are very very cuddly!
  12:49pm
Bad Ronald:

Staffordshires are the cats meow!
  12:49pm
HotRod:

This El-G track reminds me of Matt Elliott...if he were French. Very pretty.

  12:53pm
Cecile:

ah, I have puppy fever so bad right now.
I voluteered with the Humane Society and should be starting there soon.

LOL, ain't that the truth, Annie? They all think they are tiny. And the tiny dogs think they are great Danes.
  12:54pm
Joe:

Well, I guess it's time for some puppy-cam.
  12:55pm
chris:

man, this cover is totally sweet.
  12:55pm
Hugo:

Temperament is inversely proportional to size. The smaller the dog, the bigger the ego!
  12:55pm
annie:

true dat cecile. we are even toying with the idea of gettign some pet up here. not sure yet.. really could use a cat for the mice. dog would be comforting, yet they run away alot.. still debating, prolly go with the cat..
  12:56pm
stingy d:

there is a crumby magazine called murder dogs
  12:57pm
stingy d:

ha and i just received a series of pictures with a dog sleeping on my butt and also with our necks nuzzling and only her snoot showing.
  12:58pm
kaaaarrren:

no. don't do it. there is nothing wrong with this song at the correct speed.
  12:59pm
annie:

not only should we have the accu-play list with comments, now we have to get the vid section.. with approval of course..
  12:59pm
Cecile:

LOL, stingy!

Puppy cam is a great idea...

Annie, have you considered a guarding dog like maybe a Great Pyrenees, Rottie, or Bouvier? From my readings, they are homebodys and protective.
  1:00pm
stingy d:

not even the lyrical content
  1:01pm
Bad Ronald:

Staffies are a loyal breed!
  1:02pm
Cecile:

Staffies, too! And cause they are terriers, they are ratters. I am coming around to them.
  1:03pm
dc pat:

I had a Great Pyrenees when I was growing up..Excellent dogs--smart as hell and really fun....but just get a mutt
  1:04pm
stingy d:

do staffies get year end bonuses?
  1:04pm
annie:

cecile, i just have no idea about the breeds. i'd have to get one that is somewhat a homebody, we are up in the hills here and the coyote and bear roam freely.. i'll check out those suggestions
  1:04pm
Bad Ronald:

Stafffies are called "the Nanny Dog" in the "Nanny State".
  1:05pm
stingy d:

  1:06pm
annie:

  1:06pm
Cecile:

And Santa hats they look uncomfortable in.
  1:07pm
Cecile:

Oh, there's this Polish bearhound dog that some DNRs are using as humane bear abatement. They just back their heads off at the bears, and the bears get the hell out of there. Everyone wins.
  1:07pm
stingy d:

dogs in hats! ha no way! no way!!! not once not never.
  1:07pm
annie:

i think when you adopt a dog you should be made to sign an agreement you promise not to dress them for christmas cards
  1:08pm
Scott:

hey KAren, I totally agree with you, love China Girl~! But it was at the wrong speed by mistake, so... well, you know.
  1:09pm
scott:

ok, well, I see which way the wind's blowing. Gotta pull doggy records for the last hour of the show. Who's gonna read all these comments, huh?
  1:09pm
Cecile:

I can't hold to that, Annie.
My sister swore she would never do that, and boom! '06 angry angel mutt, '07 angry elf mutt, this year I anticipate angry Santa dog.
  1:09pm
annie:

  1:11pm

  1:15pm

  1:15pm
Bad Ronald:

I am confident that Stingy will rise to the occasion!
  1:17pm
stingy d:

  1:43pm
Cecile:

I always wanted to get back there. I spent 4 hours there for a Nick Cave show in '84.
  1:44pm
Joe:

Fun fact: My family owned the first house with electricity in Cincinnatti. At the family reunion, we rented a bus to take us all there and poke around. Turns out the neighborhood it was in was a little rough, and it took 20 minutes of persuasion to get my great aunt off the bus.

Ah... memories.
  1:45pm
Cecile:

WOW
that's a great story.
  1:46pm
stingy d:
