Mon. 10/20/08 9:17am From: bw

Hola amigos, buenas dias

Mon. 10/20/08 9:32am From: Parq

No, Ron, the face in the box was another part of his act. As the 45 cover suggests, he'd say, "Saw right?" and the box would open and the face would say "Saw right!" Culture marches on.

Mon. 10/20/08 9:32am From: Yp

Oh damn, I forgot about the 7" thing. This should be great.

Mon. 10/20/08 9:34am From: Bad Ronald

Thanks for the clarification Parq!

Mon. 10/20/08 9:42am From: bw

what does the new berlin stuff sound like?

Mon. 10/20/08 9:49am From: north guinea hills

well, since sean moved from philly last year, his stuff sounds like clinical kompact mimimal techno. he has two labels now found and unfound sounds. unfound is mostly techno stuff, while found is mostly field recordings droney stuff....

Mon. 10/20/08 11:22am From: jess_shambler

Don't forget about your local library, Ben Walker! Books are better off publicly collected. There's no public library for obscure 45s! Then again, maybe you're collecting rare books. That's okay.
PS. Your show is one of my new favorites of all time. Thanks for making Monday mornings bearable.

Mon. 10/20/08 11:24am From: bw

THANKS jeSS
I do use the library for the word books, on my shelves are art books, comic books, and photo books.. heavy books - hope I don't move any time soon

Mon. 10/20/08 11:27am From: GP

Way to make that Stratocaster sound like a fiddle!

Mon. 10/20/08 11:31am From: ko

Mon. 10/20/08 11:35am From: Bad Ronald

Nice cannonballs

Mon. 10/20/08 11:41am From: Richard

What a rad ATR cover!

Mon. 10/20/08 11:47am From: GP

This Major Stars song is the best song I have heard today, sounds like some 60's proto-punk psychadelic garage band. If this is old stuff, they were WAY ahead of their time.

Mon. 10/20/08 11:51am From: bw

they recent.. check Brian Turner archives and hear live WFMU major stars sets!!

Mon. 10/20/08 11:52am From: Cecile

I saw them live about 5 years ago. Crushingly great!

Mon. 10/20/08 11:52am From: GP

Cool BW, thanks for the info...Again, I'm learning something new on FMU every day!

Mon. 10/20/08 11:54am From: dc pat

man, WFMU should only play 45's all year. 7" ONLY!!!

Mon. 10/20/08 11:58am From: Parq

Great start to the 45s week, Ben. The Modern Lovers wasn't a single, but it should have been. Let it forth, Liz!

Mon. 10/20/08 11:59am From: bw

I know.. parq.. but I play this song last every week.. couldn't not play it

Mon. 10/20/08 4:00pm From: Jimi

Thanks so much for putting all the great record covers up on your play list. Perfect kick off for the week! Is that Jane Fonda on the Mel Torme cover?
