Listener comments!

  12:06pm carlx:

Great show so far, Joe (and only 3 songs in!)...
How about some Woggles?
Thanks...
  12:09pm stingy d:

should i go to the excellent pork chop house?
  12:09pm Iron Balls:

How 'bout some Charlie Gracie. He is playing in Wildwood this weekend.
  12:12pm Sean Daily:

Fourth comment! Woo hoo!
  12:18pm missy v:

evil farm children seems to be popular these days at 'fm you
  12:27pm Yan Dart:

I just discovered WFMU yesterday, and I'm glad I did. Your show blows my mind.

  12:33pm Cecile:

Can you play something from that one Mary Weiss record?
  12:39pm no MW:

.The Mary Weiss album is awful. A senior citizen singing unrequited love songs is just plain weird.
And she sounds like she swallowed 1,ooo ciggies and not in a good Tom Waits sorta way
  12:40pm Carmichael:

Tell us how you really feel.
  12:41pm Bad Ronald:

That is hilarious Stingy!!
  12:41pm Cecile:

I like it for those very reasons.
  12:42pm stingy d:

i wasn't sure if i should say nsfw or sfw so i just let be itself. glad you like it
  12:44pm Cecile:

thanks, Joe!
  12:45pm ?:

I think telling this DJ you hate something just eggs him on. so it is futile!
  12:45pm Bad Ronald:

Basher!!!
  12:46pm Mizzou:

Great show man!
  12:46pm Jeb:

Many thanks for playing us, Joe. Jeb of Evil Farm Children
  12:47pm Parq:

I never, ever, ever get tired of anything from Jesus of Cool.
  12:49pm Bad Ronald:

Amen Parq!
  12:50pm Cecile:

ITA infinity, Parq
  12:57pm Carmichael:

Rockin' show, Joe. Though I'm older and office-bound, I'm re-learning my stompin' rock coolness though this music.

Keep flailing away hard on that low E chord.
  12:59pm Cynthia:

The album has its ups and downs in my opinion... but I've seen Mary Weiss a few times and she/band she's been playing with have been excellent. Mary actually sounds better than when she was a kid in shangris las. And I can be hyper critical of vocalists.....
  1:01pm ?:

I remember when Joe had a cough on the air and someone complained hewasn't using the cough button... he played a 5 minute track of just coughing..Ah.. radio at its finest! Joe's way or the highway FCCerS! ( Joe's way is so much more scenic!)
  1:02pm Sean Daily:

This Black Angels song casts a dark, almost ultraviolet radiance that penetrates to the unlit parts of my heart and soul. Me likes, Joe.
  1:06pm The Bad Wife:

Cmchl is right ...stellar show so far.
  1:08pm Bad Ronald:

I can't recall if Joe has ever let me down.

Three Cheers for Three Chord Monte!!!
  1:12pm Sean Daily:

I don't know what you put on your Rice Krispies today, Joe, but by all means, keep putting it on. Fantastic set with the jangle-jangle guitars.
  1:16pm Bad Ronald:

Some Pink Fairies would fit in nice with this guitargasmic set...

Just sayin' it.
  1:21pm Laurie:

I love Cub!! They were my favorite band when I was 15.
  1:22pm Moo:

Wall Street on welfare....
  1:26pm The Voice of Cheeze:

I second the Pink Fairies suggestion.
  1:28pm Cecile:

Antidepressants can win any time with me.
  1:32pm Carmichael:

Gary Usher, the King of hot rod surf rock.

Now we're talkin' ....
  1:35pm Parq:

Just got back from a lunch break in the bleak, chilly Manhattan air. I get back inside and its Southern California in June! Diggin' it.
  1:37pm Carmichael:

How's about the Lively Ones, "Rik A Tik"?
  1:42pm HotRod:

Human Tornados!!! Yeah!
  1:45pm Cecile:

WOW. Starbuck.
We need Scott's Starbuck xylophone loop about now...
  1:58pm nasty diggs:

I can sing along that edmund fitzgerald song along with bad song.. might mash well!
  2:05pm Parq:

Joe, that last drop-in ("Hmm -- Yeh -- Mm") was great. Any chance you'll reveal the source?
  2:06pm Bad Ronald:

King of the Hill
  2:06pm Joe B:

From the King of the Hill CD. Highlight is Hank Hill singing Teddy Bear
  2:16pm Kyle Antivenin:

Wow! First time listener, and I am really impressed by your show.
  2:17pm Parq:

Cool. Many thanks, Joe and BR. Or should I say Teddy BR?
  2:27pm Mizzou:

Any anthropology or sociology majors from NE universities out there? I have a potential thesis project for you; study the extinction of the self-made man. You study area is the Wall Street district of the former colony of Native Peoples. Go get'em champ!
  2:32pm GP:

((Said in best Hank Hill voice) "Gol-Dang long lunch caused me to miss what looks like a great show"
  2:34pm HotRod:

The Coffin Daggers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2:35pm Rubble:

The silver lining GP is at least you wont be hungry later like I will, and you can listen to the archive. Not the same as real time I know but better 'n nuttin'!
  2:38pm Rubble:

ALejandro's voice is suddenly reminding me of Bowie, in a sublte but very real way!
  2:39pm Rubble:

check that.. SUBTLE way!
  2:40pm Cecile:

suttle
  2:41pm C:

Yeah, I hear it to. Maybe because of Tony Visconti's influence?? I saw Alejandro cover "All the Young Dudes" a few years ago and it was great.
  2:43pm Rubble:

Ah, I didn't realize Visconti worked with him! I suppose that could be!
I'm settled on 'subtle'... :)
  2:54pm Parq:

Escovedo covering "Dudes"? Oh man, that must have been something!
  2:55pm ?:

Amanda Hugankiss
  2:57pm Mizzou:
