Idyllic Lake Owassa (L); Rob mans the BroadcastBQ® (R).
As summer faded, Rob took his show to Station Manager Ken's dacha and DJ re-education compound on the shores of Lake Owassa. Specifically, to the BroadcastBQ®, Ken's lakeside barbecue unit / mobile broadcast station. At considerable personal risk: bears have been sighted in the vicinity.
Hear misty-eyed summer reminiscences from FMU DJs, earsplitting crickets and tree frogs, and Station Manager Ken's rousing campfire rendition of Hotel California.
Despite our fears neither bears nor Sasquatch were sighted. Only a lone beaver threatened our brave DJs.
Profuse thanks to Jeff Mullan (board op), Ken Freedman, Scott Williams, Irene Trudel and my illustrious sidekick Katie Gentile who opened the show with a thrilling recount of her recent
Newburgh-to-Beacon Hudson River Swim. And to Mac for coining the term "BroadcastBQ".

Wow! I've been looking for David Rudder's Kojak for quite sometime. I would love to find an MP3 of it to replace the extremely warped vinyl I first heard it on. If you see JR blow your whistle!
