We have Leeft-Off.

Wed. 8/27/08 3:08pm From: Sean Daily

Wait a minute... O'Brien to Ryan to Goldberg... that's a TRIPLLE play... unless O'Brien is a shortstop or outfielder and starts the play... I'm confused.

Wed. 8/27/08 3:46pm From: gumby

Very un-rootsie, even electric ST & BM.
Thanks, never experienced that before.

Wed. 8/27/08 3:47pm From: Emo Phillps

Once I saw this guy on a bridge about to jump. I said, "Don't do it!" He said, "Nobody loves me." I said, "God loves you. Do you believe in God?"

He said, "Yes." I said, "Are you a Christian or a Jew?" He said, "A Christian." I said, "Me, too! Protestant or Catholic?" He said, "Protestant." I said, "Me, too! What franchise?" He said, "Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Baptist or Southern Baptist?" He said, "Northern Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist or Northern Liberal Baptist?"

He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region, or Northern Conservative Baptist Eastern Region?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region." I said, "Me, too!"

Northern Conservative, Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1879, or Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912." I said, "Die, heretic!" And I pushed him over.

A black man walks into a restaurant and sits down.
The waitress says, “We don't serve colored people.”
So, the black man says, “That's Ok I want the chicken.”

What did zero say to eight?

Wed. 8/27/08 3:55pm From: Elliot

This Stewart Copeland album is an old favorite from my youth. I swear I named that tune in 4 bird-calls...

There's some excellent tracks (that don't sound like they're off his "Equalizer" album). Where did I put my cassette tape player?

Wed. 8/27/08 3:56pm From: Sean Daily

I don't know, Gumby! Just exactly WHAT did zero say to eight?

Wed. 8/27/08 3:57pm From: gumby

Nice Belt!

Wed. 8/27/08 3:58pm From: Sean Daily

A rabbi, a priest and a Baptist minister walk into a bar. The bartender says, "What is this, some kind of joke?"

Wed. 8/27/08 3:59pm From: barney

I like that emo phillips bit even more with the "why the long face" intro.

Wed. 8/27/08 3:59pm From: gumby

The Rhythmatists with Stewart Copeland was probably my first foray into world type music. The Royal Drummers of Ghana opened & kicked absolute ass!!!

Wed. 8/27/08 4:05pm From: Sean Daily

Irwin's gonna outlive the Old Codger? Is that even possible?

Wed. 8/27/08 4:11pm From: dei xhrist

I know I've seen that "obscure Japanese monster movie" within the past two years... Now I have to wrack my brain for the title.
...why are elephants big, grey, and wrinkled?

Wed. 8/27/08 4:13pm From: gumby

Gamara! Gamara!!

Wed. 8/27/08 4:14pm From: ?

a horse walks into a bar and the bartender says..
Sara Jessica Parker?

Wed. 8/27/08 4:17pm From: AnAnonymousParty

Gamera?
Gamera vs Barugon, Gaos, Guiron or Zigra?

Oh no, we got Movie Sign!

Wed. 8/27/08 4:17pm From: Sean Daily

The Space Riders absolutely RAWK.

Wed. 8/27/08 4:19pm From: gumby

I'd give anything for an Ann Lever song right about now.

Wed. 8/27/08 4:20pm From: Sean Daily

Anyway, Dei Xhrist, why ARE elephants big, grey, and wrinkled? Inquiring minds want to know.

Wed. 8/27/08 4:21pm From: AnAnonymousPary

Ann Lever, I'd welcome Y. Bhekhirst.

Wed. 8/27/08 4:21pm From: gumby

Guiron???
Wasn't that the sword headed blue one on the two women planet.

Wed. 8/27/08 4:22pm From: AnAnonymousParty

Guiron, a.k.a "Mack the Knife".

Wed. 8/27/08 4:23pm From: dei x

... because if they were small, white and round... they'd be aspirin. And I think the movie had something to do with very upsetting mushroom costumes with a Gilligan's Island premise.

Wed. 8/27/08 4:25pm From: Sean Daily

I personally like the Godzilla movie with the 900 foot-tall leprechaun: "Godzilla vs. Begorrah".

Wed. 8/27/08 4:25pm From: AnAnonymousParty

"something to do with very upsetting mushroom costumes with a Gilligan's Island premise" ... well that certainly narrows it down.

Wed. 8/27/08 4:28pm From: dei x

OK, um, it was black and white... and the guys wore suits? (note: don't chose me for your Trivial Pursuit team)

Wed. 8/27/08 4:30pm From: gumby

Japanese Sci-Fi movies never go bad. The cinematic equivalent of government cheese.

Wed. 8/27/08 4:30pm From: Joe Bacon

Oh, Son of Godzilla is one of my guilty pleasures, ESPECIALLY when Daddy is teaching his son to do the fire breathing shtick and the kid cries when he can only blow smoke rings

Wed. 8/27/08 4:33pm From: AnAnonymousParty

I feel an MST3K marathon (season 3) coming on . . .

Wed. 8/27/08 4:34pm From: dei x

nevermind, just looked it up and I'm thinking of a different film. But does bring to mind Yokai Monsters, with the very odd umbrella monster.

Wed. 8/27/08 4:34pm From: Sean Daily

The Godzilla movie with MC 900 Foot Jesus is pretty good, too: "Jesus! Use Giant Jesus Punch!"

Wed. 8/27/08 4:36pm From: Clark Barr

The iTunes store has all the episodes of Johnny Sokko and his Giant Robot! Even cheesier than Speed Racer!

Wed. 8/27/08 4:37pm From: dei x

No, it's War Of The Gargantuans! Ah sad day when I have to correct Irwin!

Wed. 8/27/08 4:47pm From: Dead Corporate Eyes

Paul sounds so sad--I didn't even recognize him.

Wed. 8/27/08 4:49pm From: Bad Ronald

He is singing about his demise.

Wed. 8/27/08 4:49pm From: SF Spike

War of the Gargantuas, actually! The best part of that movie is the musical number. According to Wikipedia: A song from the film, Feel in My Heart (often misquoted as being The Words Get Stuck In My Throat) was adapted by the band Devo, sung at concerts by the character of Booji Boy.

Wed. 8/27/08 4:52pm From: Bad Ronald

Digging the Andy P track, thanks!

Wed. 8/27/08 4:57pm From: listener jon

I traveled internationally with my wife for 7 months and this song came up on the ipod all the time. I confessed to her this was my favorite song in the world. It was then she learned I'm nuts.

Wed. 8/27/08 4:58pm From: Laura

You are the Mr. Snuggles of radio deejays! Thank you! Oooh you feel so good to me--or is she saying Eugh you feel so good to me?

Wed. 8/27/08 4:59pm From: tom

Wed. 8/27/08 4:59pm From: Joe Bacon

Wed. 8/27/08 5:01pm From: Laura
