Not for the Pride stuff though. My wife and I just happen to be in town at the same time. Should be interesting, no?
  9:15am Tom in Dublin:

People own servals as pets now? Have I slept a thousand years? Hail Futurelings!
  9:16am Vicki:

I think it's just a very small lady that the serval keeps as an owner
  9:17am John from Oslo:

http://www.buffalobeast.com/127/Bags.of.Money.Interview.html
  9:28am Vivian:

Morning Ken!

Darn, I thought I was going to hear Carla butcher Carly Simon's song 'You Belong to Me'.
  9:29am Irwin Chusid:

Well, at least she decided to loop the BEST verse. The others are afterthoughts.
  9:30am John from Oslo:

Inspector Jacques Clouseau:"Tell me, do you have a rheum?"
German hotelier: "I do not know what a 'rheum' is."
Inspector Clouseau: [Consulting a phrase-book] "Zimmer!"
German hotelier: "Ah! A 'room'!"
Inspector Clouseau:"That's what I've been saying, you idiot..."rheum"..."zimmer"..."
  9:30am C:

I wish Hillary had put out an album in the 90's
  9:30am john:

that carla bruni song was TOO SHORT
  9:31am monica:

re: madame sarkozy, my guess is that she keeps repeating that one verse ovah and ovah because "the pyramids along the nile" is where her and the 'Koz first went public a coupla years back on that much publicized vacances, non?
  9:35am Dei x:

This Up Je'Taime is fantastic if you imagine it's Alan Rickman.
  9:41am Vicki:

I love Lio - she did that song "You Go To My Head" too, to the tune of some other well know tune that I forget what well anyway ok
  9:44am John from Oslo:

French pop music. This is.. Well, hard to listen to...

Are you going to play "Joe le Taxi" by Jonny Depps' wife, Vanessa Paradis...
  9:46am Ken:

Actually it's Belgian John. And Carla Bruni is Italian. And Satanicpornocultshop is British. But I get your point.
  9:49am John from Oslo:

LOL my point exactly, the French cant make music
  9:52am Doug:

Your last photo there reminded me of this great post at Language Log.

http://languagelog.ldc.upenn.edu/nll/?p=367
  9:52am Torbjorn from Haugesund:

I would just like to say that not all of Norway are so difficult when it comes to le musique la France, I quite enjoyed the "allez allez" track.
On the other hand, I actually got a copy of "Joe le Taxi", so maybe I'm biased.
  9:52am Lizardner Dave:

In Social Chaos News, we had our first proper soccer riot here in the States this week thanks to some visiting British folks:

  10:00am Negator:

Bustin' a gut over here, Ken. King uh da yard will ruminate in my head for a long time!
  10:00am Ken:

That would be Traktor with a K. From Berlin. Native Instruments.
  10:02am Ken:

Thanks Dave! It's about time the US had a decent futbol riot! Are any banks failing today?
  10:03am John from Oslo:

Love France - have lived there ; )
But when they pick up that guitar...
http://skreemr.com/link.jsp?id=615D4556515F6B
  10:05am Ken:

What about Django John? Metal Urbain? Johnny Halliday? Well, two out of three aint bad...
  10:07am LIzardner Dave:

The Dow is down a bit but no bank failures are reported yet. Gas prices may actually drop a little so you and Andy may have missed the window to foment a gas riot.
  10:09am monica:

That Bags of Money track reminds me of Lockup:Raw on MSNBC (way "Keithier" than Olbermann's midnight re-run). Last night was about how inmates pump iron, lift their beds and bags of toilet water, do chin-ups etc to get "prison cut" and "keep their weight up" while serving life sentences.
  10:12am Ken:

Well if there are no bank runs today then I'll just have to supply my own...
  10:13am john:

so is traktor 3.3 what folks are using to do all the mashups you solicit and play?
  10:14am Ken:

No, Traktor 3.3 isn't used so much here - Trent and I use it. Ableton Live is used be a few people as is Serato.
  10:15am jhn:

Wow, I need to pick up this new Wire album.
  10:19am Eric:

Wire @ the Seaport, definitely the highlight of my summer music season!!

  11:02am maria:

  11:05am Negator:

  11:09am Ghengis Jung:

I'm terrified...
  11:10am Sean Daily:

Kim chee loving!
  11:11am Listener Dave from NH:

I keep waiting for The Christian Con Man to get re-released so I can get a copy of this insanity. I'd heard that it was going to get one a few years back when I first heard it on Incorrect Music and still haven't seen it happen.
  11:11am GP:

Is this Bronson in his younger days?
  11:12am molerat:

Sounds like a creepy Ken Nordine.
  11:12am Freddy:

This Maui talk is disturbing me in a way no one has ever disturbed me. Thank you for this gift.
  11:13am Ghengis Jung:

  11:13am Freddy:

I feel molested - in a good way.
  11:16am C:

Is this the same guy (from Wikipedia):

Lee Edwards is a Distinguished Fellow in Conservative Thought at the B. Kenneth Simon Center for American Studies at the Heritage Foundation. He is considered one of the foremost historians of the conservative movement in America, having published over a dozen books on the subject. His works also include biographies of President Ronald Reagan and Senator Barry Goldwater.
  11:22am dei x:

It it if the B. Kenneth Simon CAS consists of 20 or less other people, and his publisher is one of those on-demand websites...
  11:23am d:

GUH! "It is"
  11:33am Jeff M:

That bad man talking about his Maui girl was really creepy. But you know what's even worse? When you transition with Kenny. It makes me feel all ooky. When you see him in the studio, don't get in his car. Run and tell an adult.
  11:36am jamesie:

I was painting my dining room and the show made me ill. I have had to stop, I took two paracetamol and I hope I will feel better soon.I blame you entirely for this but I still love you
  11:59am Vivian:

What is playing in the background?
