Hey Michael, neat trick following the 4 Seasons with a country singer who sounds like Frankie Vallie.

Avril Lavigne seems oddly out of place on this show. Love everything else.

I thought it was a good song - is there a reason we shouldn't like it?

I never heard it before and thought it was a #1 hit. You've got to trust Michael's judgment.

If you like it, that's cool. I just thought it was an unusual choice for this show. That's all.

A new record store opened up by me, and they were giving out Dum Dums. I got banana flavor.

Glad you got to see Nick Lowe; sorry about the assholes. Irene and I caught him a few weeks ago in Manhattan and were, like you, blown away. He's still got it!

Nick Lowe, master of No. 1 hits! Did he throw in any surprises? n Boulder he and Ron Sexsmith did a killer Louvin Bros. cover with drop-dead harmonies.

I worked in a disco when this song was a hit. I really grew to hate it. Funny to hear now, though. Thanks.

I saw Nick Lowe in SF and enjoyed it very much, everyone sang along and it wasn't annoying. He did a Beatles song with Robyn Hitchcock as an encore (I think it was If I Fell).
