Willy Voet:

Alone in the forest in the middle of the day, are you scared?
 9:28pm
bethany:

Thanks, Willy -

Human beats computer! Can you tell me what the babelfish translator was thinking??? Maybe I spelled something wrong, but it was translating "La Foret" as "drill"...and even I knew that one!
 9:32pm
bethany:

PLEASE PARTICIPATE IN THE AUDIO SCAVENGER HUNT!

This week: EASTER EGG HUNT

What, you say?? I'm asking you, kind listener, to send me some audio that you relate to as easter egg hunt-related. Be creative. How about the sound of Peeps in the mircowave? Eggs in a skillet? Kids fighting over candy?

Scavenge online - send LINKS or SMALL MP3s to audiohunter@gmail.com or use YOUSENDIT.COM to upload other files.

I'll do a mix of everyone's contributions at the end of the show tonight.
Questions? Send an email to audiohunter@gmail.com

HAPPY AUDIO EASTER!

I just learned something new.
le foret = drill
la foêt = forest.
Don't forget the chapeau chinois (chinese hat) aka accent circonflexe.
 9:33pm
kym:

To a computer, a drill is what a tree is to a human. You know, they sustain life, are beautiful, natural and all that. So the mistake was quite a simple one, actually.
 9:35pm
bethany:

Ah...and yes...our playlist system doesn't like those little hats, etither. But they are natural and beautiful just like trees and drills. (!)

jackie burkhardt:

dave:

(oh, and i'd consider that my easter egg entry just because it's almost a fabergé egg in its complexity, but i can't take credit for finding it.)
 10:01pm
bethany:

Hi Jackie - The weekend wasn't much different than any other - I contemplated seeing Drillbit Taylor, but will wait for a matinee. Was so happy to have Cadbury Creme Eggs. They're so good, but once a year is all I can handle!

This is kind of off topic, but you should check out the (British) cadbury creme egg commercials; there's this whole slightly perverse masochistic thing going on with them.

What was your username on Myspace again?

Tom (The Bactrian Support Network) (in Brooklyn):

nice show--liked in particular the "Adam Rudolph & Go" piece... .. didn't get a chance to participate in the Egg Hunt this year -- my Easter Plans were literally canned with my sis & nephews otherwise I would have had some wicked sounds(& videos as well) --- checked out ya mySpace coooool - and cute toes too .....

....... but in a few Weeks I think at my Aunt's place is gonna be "Find The Motzah!!!!"" or was that during Chanukah I Forget now ..
 10:41pm
jonathan:

Between the bunnies eye sliding off in the heater one, and it's head snapping back in the hairdryer one; that video's set to terrorize children's dreams.
 10:48pm
dave:

it gets better(?). there's a remix of that video with a death metal soundtrack:

ross:

jesus fucking hrist was that last track LONG AND ANNOYING...
 10:53pm
bethany:

Sorry, Ross - I think you'll hate the next one even more...
 10:54pm
chunky monkey:

jesus f. hrist is the reason for the season!
 10:57pm
Droll:

To hell with oss -- you can play 'em both again at 16 rpm.
 10:57pm
dave:

little-known fact: jesus f. hrist was damien hirst's nom de plume during his brief period as an author of trashy romance novels.
 11:00pm
Jonathan:

This is great 'staring at wall' music; thats a good thing though (it's not an attempt at mediocre sarcasm).
 11:03pm
ross:

lighten up weirdos, i didn't like one fucking song...i'm digging this one...
 11:09pm
bethany:

Ok ok okokok...I think we're all in this together. I didn't mean to get everyone fired up. Plus - you should all be doing your homework!!
 11:11pm
ross:

sorry bethany, i can't find the link...if you click here

http://upload.muffwiggler.com/PLAN%20B%20CRAP.mp3

you'll have some audio..
 11:20pm
ross:

sorry to post so many times, but i really don't see where to submit the audio...

btw, i'm very much enjoying the show, i donated more than i could, etc...no offense intended....

Hi Bethany,

I'm from Toronto and I listen to your job while doing day job-type stuff. So, long story (sorta) short, Easter means, among other things, getting a dutch licorice fix. So here's a link to Licorice Pizza where they have the John Lennon and Paul McCartney getting together in 1974 for A Toot and a Snore.

http://apt104.com/toot/01 John Lennon - Paul McCartney - A Toot And A Snore.mp3

If the link doesn't work, here's the site:

Love your show!
 11:28pm
ranjit:

sheep!
 11:30pm
ross:

regardless of my horrible comments, i'm going to listen to your show every week from now on...i wish i had my sheepy tune available....
 11:37pm
dave:

FANK YOU EASHTER BUNNY
 11:37pm
dave:

... bawk bawk.
 11:39pm
Ike:

Ahhh, the crass exploitation of children's mispronounciations for candy-selling purposes! Heh.

Hey, you played mine twice. Hee hee.
 11:40pm
steven:

une chanson ecologiste pour les bambins signee chantal goya. Ca faisait longtemps. Merci Bethany
 11:44pm
ranjit:

apparently all the world DOES love M&Ms
 11:45pm
steven:

t'wasn't any candy-selling pusposes Ike, but a kind of vegetarian stuff in a way ("this morning a rabbit has killed a hunter, it was a rabbit who got a shotgun").
 11:50pm
Ike:

Really?!? I could've sworn the "fank you Eashter Bunny" came from a candy or chocolate commercial, but my memory sucks.
 11:51pm
ross:

thank you..seriously...
 11:53pm
pete:

This makes me want to go out and buy some half-price candy tomorrow.
 11:56pm
stven:

But why not a chocolate commercial, actually. And the rabbit is seasonnal i guess, if in chocolate. scaring stuff when ment for children, anyway.
 11:56pm
Droll:

It took me a second, but the "Fank you Eashter Bunny" commercial came back to me when I heard it. I nearly choked on a mouthful of refreshing beverage laughing. I'm sad to say the Bawk Bawk message has stuck after all these years. Advertising works in mysterious and powerful ways.
 11:59pm
steven:

So we could say it rings some chocolate bells then
 11:59pm
Ike:

Glad you liked my 10-second contribution! It came out a lot better than I thought it would.
 12:20am
humanvise:

this is david bowie I saw a dvd of him doing this song on the dick cavit show
