Sean Daily's not up yet at this hour! Woo hoo! And Merry Christmas.

Sat Dec. 22, 2007 11:48am From: Peter K.

Great interview with Chris Butler. But why, oh why, was Patty Donahue's name never mentioned?? I know she didn't write the Waitresses' songs, but she sure as hell SANG the sh-t out of them. A little tribute to her memory would have been appropriate, no?

Sat Dec. 22, 2007 12:34pm From: Parq

I noticed the omission too, Pete. Just a guess -- they don't get along any more.

Sat Dec. 22, 2007 12:39pm From: Peter K.

Eddie Cole! Far out! As many listeners probably guessed by listening to that track, he was Nat King Cole's brother. That's all I know about him. (Nat had another brother, Freddy, who's a pretty successful singer himself these days. Eddie is apparently long dead.) Thanks for pulling that one out of the ether, Michael.

Oh, and FYI to Parq: Patty Donahue died in 1996. That's a long time to hold a grudge, if that's what Chris Butler is doing.

Sat Dec. 22, 2007 12:43pm From: Parq

Did she really? Whoa. Be right back, I gotta look this up.

Sat Dec. 22, 2007 12:49pm From: Parq

++back++ Man, that's harsh. I'll hear their stuff in a slightly different light from now on. Thanks for cluing me in, Peter.

Michael, the show's been a dream come true. And now Rex and Ter are on deck. Sure do love the Saturday before Christmas!
