Listener comments!

Mon. 11/5/07 9:16am From: (mta) Tony

Good mornin' LIz, thanx for getting the day started off on a mind-blowing tangent. Keep the psyche alive! Now my day will be good, thanx to you, Liz.

Mon. 11/5/07 9:26am From: (mta) Tony

By the bye, Liz, were you able to find some music of particular interest at the Fair?

Mon. 11/5/07 9:31am From: Liz B.

Hi Tony, thanks! Yeah, I found a few goodies at the record fair for sure. What a fun weekend! What did everyone out there buy?

Mon. 11/5/07 9:44am From: doug

I am loving this Citay stuff! Couldn't make the record fair but I want to hear what everyone scored!

Mon. 11/5/07 9:47am From: (mta) Tony

Tony wasn't able to attend, Liz, but we heard there were plenty Good Vibrations to go around.

Mon. 11/5/07 9:47am From: Parq

Is no one going to answer Mizz Liz's question? Okay, I'll start. I broke down and bought a copy of "More Music Less Parking" from the swag table. Looking forward to spending an evening with it.

Mon. 11/5/07 9:47am From: Rococo Pagoda

I agree about Citay. This is from the new one, that just came out. These are guys from Piano Magic and The Fucking Champs, right? Strange combination, but obviouly it works really well.

Mon. 11/5/07 9:52am From: Neil

Record fair haul? Lulu's "To Sir with Love" LP, Mott the Hoople "Brain Capers," King Uszniewicz (!) from Norton, Johnny Rivers "Live at the Whiskey," "Eccentric Soul" comp, Hasil Adkins "Peanut Butter Rock and Roll," and, believe me, much much more.

Mon. 11/5/07 9:55am From: DaveB

I bought 2 Clash bootleg dvd's, and then went to see the new Joe Strummer documentary later in the day. Iit was a Joe Strummer overload. Which is a good thing.

Mon. 11/5/07 10:00am From: Liz B.

I gave Rich Hazelton $5 and told him to buy me something good at the Fair. He came back with a soundtrack to a movie I've never heard of, and said "this is a great LP, just ignore the fact that Sammy Davis Jr. in on it."

Mon. 11/5/07 10:02am From: (mta) Tony

...and the NAME of the film is...

Mon. 11/5/07 10:03am From: Liz B.

I can't remember... still in a daze, must... drink... more... COFFEE!

Mon. 11/5/07 10:03am From: zoe

I found a ton of Original Broadway Cast albums in the $1 bin. A Melvin Van Peebles musical! Cliff Gorman in Lenny!

I also bought a 6 hour Serge Gainsbourg DVD, it is great.

Mon. 11/5/07 10:06am From: Parq

Zoe, were you the one who found "Company"? That was my favorite moment of the whole weekend.

Mon. 11/5/07 10:20am From: zoe

no, I already have Company.

If it had been the version with Larry Kert on it, that would have been exciting.

Mon. 11/5/07 10:22am From: zoe

oh, another observation about the record fair:

Kids are fascinated by the Vinyl Killer

Mon. 11/5/07 10:22am From: EA

Hey how about a little credit? We Are The Arm are from sunny Ithaca NY!

Mon. 11/5/07 10:27am From: Liz B.

Ah yes, but one part of We Are the Arm is indeed from Hudson, NY!

Mon. 11/5/07 10:32am From: DaveB

Is it the elbow?

Mon. 11/5/07 10:33am From: EA

2 of the arms (drummer) from Ithaca

Mon. 11/5/07 10:41am From: Nick the Bard

Some of the finds I had...

Fantasia on laserdisc in the $1 LP bin
some album based around the game Fallout
a 7inch companion to an album I had just for the 80's robot artwork
a third acknowleded fan (yay)
and a whole giant ass box of crap when the $1 CD bin went to cheap as free (and I don't have to add a hernia to this list). Now it's just a matter of sorting that out.

Mon. 11/5/07 11:29am From: Parq

Liz, have both bands on together sometime. Then, when they go, you can give a Farewell to Arms. Okay, I'll get back to work now.

Mon. 11/5/07 11:57am From: Wes

Thanks Liz B. Sitting here trying to act interested, trying not to fall asleep....your show was a great start to the week as usual. I must prepare for my Polish Princess...

Tue. 11/6/07 3:28pm From: Bill Walton

Hi Liz. That band yesterday morning, We Are The Arm, made me stop being dizzy. Thank you!

Mon. 11/12/07 4:14pm From: les bicyclettes blanches

hi, thanks for playing us, we're so exited never being on the radio before, keep in touch
