commentland is a lovely place is it not??? thanks for visiting me here, it is great to see you in writing, nice writing y;all. give me some useful advice how to weasel out o fJury duty quickly last time I truthfully said I was an evidence photographer and that I was Hopelessly biased... not dong that anymore...

You can use a note from your empoyer, but that will just defer it up to 6 months.

I got out claiming it was against me religion! It worked but they are stricter now in the UK... I got another and turned up 3 days in a row and the court was so disorganized they sent us home for the rest of the 2 weeks

Yes, here (in NYC) they will send you home in a few days if it is slow, and you don't get picked.

Ask the Jury Foreman or Woman, when you come in if it looks like it will be busy, and he can tell you how long he thinks it will be before they send people home (if you don't get selected).
