Jose is leader, vocalist and songwriter for the Cuban-roots-based but wide-ranging NYC band Ola Fresca. He introduces tracks and tells the story behind the band's impressive debut cd, ¡Ay! Que Rico.

Jose also dons his guest-dj hat to give us a taste of his musical influences and turn us on to a few other other up-and-coming US-based Latin music innovators.

Jose and Ola Fresca will be at Sabor in North Bergen NJ on Thursday Jan 27 and at SOBs, 204 Varick St in Manhattan on Friday Jan 28.
