Infrequent chatter popping in here... the Tom Newman track reminded me of the "Fine Old Tom" album - which I played to death when it came out in 77... love that album... never heard anything else like it...

Hi, Thomas! I really like "Fine Old Tom" too. The only thing similar I've heard is another Tom Newman album: "Live at the Argonaut." Fred Frith is on that one too (it's not really live, btw).

I said before that Tom Newman plays most everything on this album. Should amend that: he's not responsible for the flute or brass. But he does play all string instruments and drums.
