De La are giants. They got booked into my small town midway between Vancouver and Calgary mid 2000s. They were clearly apprehensive about the tiny to them club but the crowd blew them away with appreciation. Incredible show!

Sometimes it's the small shows that are the best. Joe Jackson once said that he played MSG once and hated it. Then years later he found himself playing in a beer hall in Germany for maybe 300 people and he loved it.

True. I saw Joe one time at the Orpheum in Boston. Less than 3k people and the show was incredible. Also the hottest (literally) show I've ever been to...in the middle of a heatwave, the theatre was well over 100 degrees inside. Yikes.

I have a great memory of Pot Holes in My Lawn song. Me and a big group of people went from Houston to ride the Guadalupe River and camp one weekend there in New Braunfels. Well, we were like 22 and were into doing a lot of X then. I remember us sitting around all X'd out after riding the river one day at our camp and singing Potholes in My Lawn over and over again, with me leading them! We were trippin'! hahahahaha!!!!

Wish I could hear the rest of the show, live, but I gotta get a bus to NYC and then hit the L.I.R.R. I would have liked to hear the Allan Arkush interview live. Mr Arkush and I are on the same FB Film page and I always enjoy his comments. He confirmed a question I had about a Ramones reference that was dropped into an Arkush directed episode of St. Elsewhere.
