In the 90's, I worked at a bookstore in a mall, across the hall from a record store. Every time there was some new Prince release, and the record store got promotional material for it, there was a huge fight over the signs and cardboard stands. I'm sure there's some collector with a bunch of Prince promotional signs that all came from the same mall I worked at.

The 90's were weird.

There's an artist in Portland, Le Petit Sac, who did a release that was lathe-cut into Lazerdiscs. The sound is mono... and sort of funky, because that's not what Lazerdiscs were meant to do... but it works!

Probably. I haven't fooled around with Japanese Laserdiscs, but I suspect that's a case where you get a Pal Player, or a NTSC player. Sort of like having different region DVD / BluRay players. I like my British Comedy's, so I have a DVD Player set to that region code, so I can just watch Fast Show and stuff like that on it.
