Sometimes OK, but could do typical therapist things like listen to you explain a frustration experience at length and with clear emphasis on the frustration, and then she might say, "So, that was frustrating for you." Forehead slap and a little steam out the ears.

	11:24pm still b/p: After thirty years of sleep governed by regular work schedule, the seven-ish hours I got through those years has stayed pretty consistent even though my bedtime hours and work days are very irregular in past decade. Like the habit clock was set for good.

	🦭 ♥ 11:26pm Jill A: I've been medicated for insomnia since my 20s. It's how my depression manifests. The point at which my doctor then said "time for meds" was when I suddenly could fall asleep but would wake up without fail at 4am (which was usually about the time I would fall asleep!)

	♥ 11:26pm northguineahills: when I'm in a normal situation (ie: not now) I usually get 6 at night during the week and 10 during the weekend.
	♥ 11:26pm Franco Twinkie: I usually to to bed by 10pm and get up about 7am. But I wake up at 2am and can't get back to sleep for about an hour. I use that awake time to review all the rotten stuff I still do.

	11:31pm Dustin C.: Been getting 6 or 7 recently but go through bad bouts of insomnia. Also my forties has come with some fun surprises like needing to get up sometimes 3 times a night to go to the bathroom. Then can’t back to sleep for an hour or more sometimes. At that point I just switch on some King of the Hill and it usually lulls me back to my slumber

	11:33pm still b/p: A few different times in last few years, heard sleep experts talking about the extremely important need to be consistent about sleep timing, and about how we can't really "make up" for lost sleep, and how insufficient and irregular sleep does awful things to our systems and chemicals....and of course how vital regular decent sleep is to general health. Shirking the sleep standards and fretting the details make a person too anxious to sleep!

	🦭 ♥ 11:48pm WR: OMG. Feldy, your mention of Alan Watts triggered me to look him up. In about 1976-7 I dropped by a friend's house. There was a big hub bub going on. My friend's father was wealthy and a patron of Alan Watts. His father and some friends were going to go to a restaurant and a man who I was told was Alan Watts said he was going to ride on the roof of the car. He was in cross leg yoga position and wouldn't get down. They finally did start driving off with him on the roof with a couple of people walking along with the car in case he fell. I don't know how far they continued like that but they did go to the end of the block and around the corner out of our sight. My OMG is that according to Wikipedia on November 16, 1973 Alan Watts died. There was some controversy because Watt's body was cremated by some associates before family or authorities were notified.

	🦭 ♥ 11:49pm Jill A: Best therapist I ever had, I found through my doctor, who referred me to a therapy practice -- I had an interview with the practice's founder who referred me to one of their therapists based on what he'd learned on me. She was so fantastic -- only stopped working with her because I moved to another state.

	🦭 ♥ 11:50pm StringOFperils: Try to avoid the Rx would be my take on it. Cool it on the tea consumption, like none after 6pm. Get physical exercise every day, like walking for an hour. Eat properly. Beware the excessive media onslaught of dread. And when the inner narrative gets dark, read fiction, or science articles or something to put your mind on other tracks, to displace the dark narrative. Medication has helped me in the past but simultaneously messed me up a lot. It should be a last resort.

Also my forties has come with some fun surprises like needing to get up sometimes 3 times a night to go to the bathroom. Then can’t back to sleep for an hour or more sometimes. At that point I just switch on some King of the Hill and it usually lulls me back to my slumber

	11:33pm still b/p: A few different times in last few years, heard sleep experts talking about the extremely important need to be consistent about sleep timing, and about how we can't really "make up" for lost sleep, and how insufficient and irregular sleep does awful things to our systems and chemicals....and of course how vital regular decent sleep is to general health. Shirking the sleep standards and fretting the details make a person too anxious to sleep!

	🦭 ♥ 11:48pm WR: OMG. Feldy, your mention of Alan Watts triggered me to look him up. In about 1976-7 I dropped by a friend's house. There was a big hub bub going on. My friend's father was wealthy and a patron of Alan Watts. His father and some friends were going to go to a restaurant and a man who I was told was Alan Watts said he was going to ride on the roof of the car. He was in cross leg yoga position and wouldn't get down. They finally did start driving off with him on the roof with a couple of people walking along with the car in case he fell. I don't know how far they continued like that but they did go to the end of the block and around the corner out of our sight. My OMG is that according to Wikipedia on November 16, 1973 Alan Watts died. There was some controversy because Watt's body was cremated by some associates before family or authorities were notified.

She was so fantastic -- only stopped working with her because I moved to another state.

	🦭 ♥ 11:50pm StringOFperils: Try to avoid the Rx would be my take on it. Cool it on the tea consumption, like none after 6pm. Get physical exercise every day, like walking for an hour. Eat properly. Beware the excessive media onslaught of dread. And when the inner narrative gets dark, read fiction, or science articles or something to put your mind on other tracks, to displace the dark narrative. Medication has helped me in the past but simultaneously messed me up a lot. It should be a last resort.
