I discovered a new band this past week that I've grown to like a lot. I was hesitant to share this with everyone at first because the band is Russian. More specifically they are out of Belarus.
Their name is Molchat Doma. They remind me of Joy Division.
I decided to share their name with you Daniel and your listeners because they have strongly come out in condemnation of the war in Ukraine.
I think this is an excellent opportunity to remind everyone, yes we should all detest what Putin is doing in Ukraine and we should hate the atrocities committed by The Russian army, but I don't think we should allow ourselves to hate the Russian people who are risking their lives by speaking out against the war as Molchat Doma have done.
I truly hope my statement does not offend anyone. That was not my intent. May peace come to Ukraine soon.
