Mom Whig, for a special touch, while the stuff is boiling, add some lemon rinds into the pot, then when it's fresh off the stove, sprinkle some cinnamon on top. That's how our mom served it to us at home!

We made our own evaporated milk and used that, baked with cinnamon, vanilla and our home made “honey” - hour in a hot oven, same temp as yorkshire pudding 😃
