Bunny is so funny! A couple of weeks ago I requested "Finding it Rough" by Hat & Tie and instead got some random song by the Edgar Broughton Band. Because, you see, "Broughton" contains "Rough". Well everyone should read Huxley's 'Doors of Perception'. Still the best thing ever written on the psychedelic experience. 'Storming Heaven' by Jay Stevens has great historical ~ social history & context ...& I kinda think Julian Cope's 'Head On' gives a good personal & RawkStart perspective on it as an entire lifestyle... The essential thing everyone learns is Set & Setting. Set is your mind set - how you're feeling & where you're @ with yourself. If you're going to bring down the barriers between your conscious & unconscious minds - consider that ! & Setting is where you're going to be that long with your perceptions all opened up. In fact even having a few beers I think that's useful.

I have thot the irony of our culture - in my time & place anyhow ...was @ Baptist Church as a kid I was given some grape juice & a cracker - with no instruction on what it was supposed to symbolize or sense of anything. Then as a teen I was given a four-way dose of LSD - a large amount of the actual electric nuclear Holy Sacramaent - as a party drug. It left a lot to be desired.

I did all my trippin' in my 20's and quit pot 6 months after I quit alcohol in my mid 30's. I felt like I reached a point where it either made me stupid or paranoid. Got tired of that, wasn't for me anymore. I'm happily sober for close to 19 years now. Takeaway - I had my fun young and needed to quit because I had no control on alcohol, none at all, and it got worse with age! Ha! It's nice if you can handle it, but I never could!! I'm happy I learned how to have a good time being sober. It's fun remembering details of a night and shows now! Lol
