I saw the Damned last night in Detroit. Fantastic set. Blondie, not so much. Debbie looked good and worked hard. Terrible cheese-rock guitarists. Glen Matlock on bass saved the day though. That guy just plays beautifully. Really melodic and looking cool.

@Hungry: with defining any genre is always hard to pin down. (I've tried it with rockabilly!) . Not all soft rock is Yacht Rock. I suppose McDonald-era Doobie Bros. is the paragon (or the nadir) example. I'd say that Roxy tune had an emphasis on the beat, disqualifying it.
